I am losing sympathy for this woman. She has other family members who need her as well. She disobeyed a court order, meanwhile her child gets sicker by the day. The husband is just as guilty, I don't buy it that he didn't know. Really? I feel for the child as he's stuck in the middle.

This family should be responsible for ALL expenses that occur due to their criminally irresponsible behavior.

To everyone who says it is their religous beliefs... if their religion said beat your child every day would it be right?

So what's the difference between this type of child abuse or neglect and the kind where the child is beaten or left alone for days on end with no food?

Nothing.

In all 3 types of cases the parents are being irresponsible and neglecting the health and welfare of their child.

Why would someone who says they care about and love their child want to hurt them? How can they watch their child die?

How can they call themselves parents?

I'm sure once they catch them, they will inject there toxic drug into the boy watch him shrivel up and die and then send her the medical bill which they will decuct from her small wage working in the prison mess hall.

You’re all a bunch of righteous bigots. Why do you decide what is "right" and who should live and die and when? Natural disease happens...death is a given...not everyone feels the need to live on chemicals and machines. When were all of you made God?

When all this Cancer_Crap comes together Who is going to pay the Medical Bills
A Mothers Love looks beyond the Courts You Go Colleen the Judge and Brown County are culpable for the BILLS

Granted no one wants to die of cancer, In fact their should have been a cure years ago, but the Drug Companies, Doctors have to have their Golden Parachutes on the Backs of the alleged Cancer Striken Patients.

May God or Science have mercy on Minnesota, The State cannot even pass a Medical Mairuana (sp) Bill to ease Cancer Patients Nausua

750,000 Americans die under the care of the medical profession annually. It is not a perfect system.

wow the crazies are really active today on this forum. With chemo the boy has a 95% survival rate...without chemo a 5% survival rate. The parents are idiots and criminals: frankly I'm sick and tired of religious wacko's being portrayed as heroes for being superstitious fools. The parents are obviously incompetent to take care of their son.

Sorry pal, this is a national story now that the mother is fleeing from the state with her child.
It ain't local anymore. Besides this tugs at the heart of any person who has a family member or friend who has or is suffering with cancer.
Rather heartless individual. aren't you!

This is nobody's business but the family's. I'm so sick of right-to-lifers who only protest when it's not their responsiblity. And I'm so sick of the life-at-all-costs contingent. We have a right to die, in fact we're all going to eventually. It should be a solid right to live and die as you choose, regardless of what medical science may be able to do. I for one plan to stay out of the clutches of medical practitioners and pharmaceutical companies who cause more illness than they cure. As for this child, he is old enough to make a reasonable choice. If he doesn't want to be shot full of poison (aka chemotherapy) or radiation (which by the way CAUSES cancer), he shouldn't have to. If you feel that people who make that choice are stupid, you should rejoice that they are opting out of the gene pool. I'm one of the reasonable people who don't expect to live forever and don't really want to. I laugh everytime I hear of a religious person who hangs on tooth and nail -- I'd think you'd be glad to get to your 'heaven' and bask in the glory of your imaginary god. Sounds pretty dull to me. At any rate, a person's health is no one's business but their own, no matter what their age. The judge and the government should butt out.
