In the related articles about this, I am surprised I have not seen a reference made. There is a similar case in MN case law back in 1989. a child, age 13 as well if I recall, died due to religious beliefs of the parents when health could have been spared with medicine. Original court ruling found parents, "prayer healers" and place of worship at fault with financial fees. On appeal some of the parties and fees were lessened, but some were still held at fault for the death of the young man.

Only reason I can recite the case data so quickly is I knew him from my school district.

The doctors are more worried about the money they will make frying this kids organs than to ever consider his personal feelings about going through such drastic treatment measures.

Sure I would like this child to have a chance to nip cancer in the butt, on the other hand if he does not want this treatment how can our government be it city, state or federal force him to go through such a horrible experience on a whim that he "might" be one day labeled cancer free? What ever happened to free choice?

First, this kid is a minor. An adult can refuse treatment, a minor cannot. A minor's parents can refuse treatment for the child, but, not when that will clearly put the child's life in danger - I believe the term for that would be reckless endangerment.
Second, it is not a "whim" that he "might be one day labeled cancer free." The cure rate for this child's type of cancer, using modern medical treatment, is about 95%, an almost certain cure. The survival rate without the medical treatment is lower than 5%, an almost certain death sentence.

An 18 year old is able to make his or her own choice. That is the absolute difference here. Like the first poster who posted in this thread, there are other cases where parents chose to not give a child life-saving medicine and opted for alternative healing or prayer-based healing instead (other posters on the same topic, different thread, brought up the child who had Type 1 diabetes and died without insulin).
Really, that's the largest difference for me, the reason I say, "the child shall have chemo!" is because it is the parents fundamental and moral duty to do what's right for their child. Withholding life-saving medicine is NOT in the best interest of the child.

Is this story frustrating you as much as it is me, Darwinian? I'm one of the fortunate cancer survivors told, with treatment, that I'll be given a 92% chance to beat the cancer, which is nearly as high of a chance one can get! My heart breaks to think of all of the cancer patients who's rate of success is so much lower than this, who would gladly have Hodgkins Lymphoma and go through that treatment than whatever cancer that person has.

I fully agree with you; the child is a minor and cannot make this decision, and that the parents have an obligation to make decisions that are in the best interest of the child's health and welfare.

For all those who say that the doctors are only looking for the money in this - what do you think the Plastic Shaman who's running this fake "Native American" "tribe" is in it for? Look this bs up. He just wants his $250 per person plus monthly "donations" to adopt you into his fake tribe. If this kid dies because of his fake medicine, he should be sued and charged with accessory to murder for telling this family that his "medicine" will cure their kid.

Shame on him!!!

What kind of a medical doctor is it who tells a patient they will die if they do not do what that doctor recommends? Can this doctor predict with 100% certainty that Daniel will survive cancer free for the rest of his life if the orthodox medical treatment is forced on him? NO, the doctor cannot predict or guarantee such a result.
Even the quoted statistics are meaningless. Just because he has a 95% chance at "survival" or whatever it may be, what if he is in the other 5% group and dies? Will the doctors and judge assume responsibility for that outcome? Of course not, they will say, "sorry, we did our best" and walk away if you try to talk to them further about the failure of their recommendations. The judge also has immunity to claims.
The orthodox cancer treatment protocol is the biggest scam in the world today. A New York Times article the other day quoted the number of
$ 105 billion spent on cancer research since 1971, but the number is much larger in the trillions of dollars; still, about one person every minute dies either from cancer or treatment or both; usually treatment. This is over half a million victims a year! The best way to tell a lie is with statistics that no one can prove or disprove. This is a decision that must be left to the parents and the boy exclusively, not corrupt judges and doctors who have no responsibililty if things go bad. The NIH, NCI and FDA are nothing but corrupt cesspools. The cancer generals must be charged with scientific misconduct, fraud, medical quackery and crimes against humanity. References follow below:

"The Cancer Industry" by Ralph W. Moss, PH.D., Equinox Press, N.Y., 1996, first published about 1980 as "The Cancer Syndrome". It is documented with about 500 references. This book describes, amoung many other sordid details, how a medical doctor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New YOrk once painted spots on the backs of laboratory animals in order to fool others about cancer research. Dr. Moss, who holds a Ph.D. degree in classics from Stanford University, was fired from MSKCC in New YOrk in the 1970's for refusing to lie to the public about cancer research there. At the time he was assistant directory of public affairs at MSKCC. He has written numerous books and ariticles since then.

This book describes the remarkable discoveries on cancer by the genius in Germany, Otto Warburg, M.D., Ph.D., that have been criminally negligected by the cancer generals of the U.S. who have violated the scientific method in doing so. I would call your attention to this blog:

How many of you recall the attack on the family of a federal judge in Chicago a few years ago?
It was first falsely reported the perpetrator of that crime was a right wing extremist. That was false. The individual who did that was a disgruntled cancer patient from Wisconsin who had disfiguring cancer of the jaw and had been denied his day in court by a prejudiced and corrupt federal judge. The last thing the criminals in the medical orthodoxy want is a national court exposure of their many criminal, fraudulent, medical quackery scientific misconduct, all corrupted by the pharmaceutical companies, brought out in a public courtroom. Unfortunately the federal judges are so ignorant and corrupt themselves, they protect these criminals from the exposure they deserve. Here is another reference:
"IBM and the Corruption of Justice in America" by EArl CArey, Bismarck House, 1992. This book lists no less than 42 federal judges by name and location, who violated the very rules they were "sworn" to comply with!
