Mr. Jones, I was at Farmfest, live only a few miles away from there. I videotaped some of the proceedings. Peterson handled things competently. Walz did not. Walz needs to step down, in my opinion. The crowd was polite, but somewhat firm. Decent rural folk. Some Democratic party hacks seated in one section kind of messed up and interrupted a few potentially good exchanges. I was later able to speak with some of the folks who had the opportunity to ask questions.
thanks for your insight.

I am thinking that the Republican party is sending their goon squad to infiltrate blogs along with festivals like Farmfest.
How can intelligent people not be for this most important bill in the history of mankind? If we fail on this legislation, the planet Earth will die along with every creature and plant on it.
Do you really want to die? What is wrong with you people?
Wow! Where were you when the dinosaurs needed someone to save them from utter catastrophe? Thank goodness Al Gore and you are going to save mankind from itself. What would we do without you?

Anyone here who was at this please tell us what really happened. I do not believe this reporter, and I also don't believe their wasn't opposition.
I was at Farmfest on Tuesday to hear both congressmen give their speeches. The people asking questions were allowed one question, no comments or rebuttal allowed on their part. The microphone was taken away after the question, and the individuals were told that they weren't allowed to debate during the forum. It was an open forum for the congressmen to say whatever they wanted, and they would not....no, could not be challenged.

The crowd, however, had different ideas about that. There DEFINITELY WAS OPPOSITION! Farmfest tried their best to keep it down, however. I walked through the crowd, talked to lots of the people, and they were just waiting for someone to speak the words that they were too afraid to say themselves. When the cap and trade bill, health care, and government transparency were brought up, the crowd came to life.

Several individuals asked some very direct questions. Needless to say, they did not get very direct answers..especially from Walz. One individual asked about the accountability issue....how can congressmen vote on bills that haven't even been read? To the best of my memory, Walz responded that congress has always operated in that manner. They've always voted on bills that haven't been thoroughly gone through. It's just that the people (we peons--my interpretation) have now found out about it! Unbelievable! So they've been unaccountable all along---so that justifies their irresponsible activities now. Boy, that certainly puts my mind at rest!

In my opinion, Walz was EXTREMELY arrogant; I hadn't had the opportunity to study Walz in person before. He comes across as a big mouth and as not being all that intelligent. Interesting....

I stopped at Walz's office the next day inquire as to when and where Walz was having town meetings. Certainly he wants to hear how his constituents feel on the controversial bills that are being pushed through.....well, no, he doesn't. None of his staff knows when or where he plans to appear. Sounds to me like he's hiding!

I am not a Democrat or a Republican, because it often seems as though they are in the same boat together. As a side note, I was working at Farmfest for 3 days. I talked to hundreds of people. I made it a point to ask them about their feelings on the government taking over their lives. Here's the kicker....only 3 people spoke up in favor of the regime that is currently in power. You bet there is opposition!

If Walz doesn't like being compared to Communists, he should stop associating and supporting them.
Yes, Walz should get some backbone and stand against them instead of aiding and abetting.

truth, yes, that is what I also experienced at Farmfest. Walz needs to leave. I am from an adjacent district, but I called his office to tell them that his performance at Farmfest was not acceptable. Actually, "pathetic" is the term I used. Also, his office staff does not seem very professional. Maybe they are high school summer interns, I don't know.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Scorpio

The thought of the sales is almost too good to resist today, and you'll jump at the chance to see what's on offer. Even better if you can snap up some bargains at the same time. It's certainly a good day for investing your money carefully, but make sure you aren't more seduced by the reduction in the cost of something than in the item itself. Are you certain that you want to buy it?
