Ex-police officer indicted in child porn case

A former Slaton police officer has been indicted on six counts related to child pornography federal agents said they found on his home computer last month.

And it just keeps happening in Slaton PD. This officer was written up by the department's internal affairs - the previous detectve - for a violation of State law (as well as 2 other officers, one who is still there)- and the then-Chief, City Adminstrator, and Mayor decided it would be best to run off the detective and keep the 3 bad guys. Maybe they should have paid more attention. Yet another "dirty" Slaton cop - dang shame - nice little town overall.

It's pretty obvious this person has no clue as to what their speaking on. The slaton Police Department for the most part has some outstanding officer most of whom will go out their way on their off time to help individuals. It's comments like this that causes that wedge between the good citizens of slaton and the police department. It's finally time to back the department and have the citizens as well as the police department come together to overcome those differences.
