Interesting... It looks like the defense has just introduced "reasonable doubt" in this case. However, it seems witness testimony proves that there were two involved, not one and that there is enough evidence to convict either for second degree assualt with a deadly weapon. I'll bet the attempted murder charge is dropped due to lack of evidence. What's difficult in this case is proving who actually did the stabbing. As far as the victim not mentioning the white stripes on the hoody, I'd argue that it was too dark to see them in all the commotion. In any event, Cozad and his pal Aussprung are guilty... and they know it!

This is about the biggest waste of taxpayers money
to hit the courts. The question only will be what charge will they find him guilty of.
I know Cozad is guilty

I was there when this incedent was reported to the UNC coaching staff. I was in ALL the meetings when the coaching staff was breifed on the developing details of the investigation. Cozad is guilty!!!!! People this is an open and shut case. If Cozad gets off his Lawyer deserves more props and praise than the O. J. Simpson legal team. Cozad was a reported andconfirmed bum before he came from the University of Wyoming and from the first day he practiced at UNC.

When you try to stab someone in the chest multiple times its attempted murder. Cozad is a weak twirp thats why he didn't succed in his attemp on Raf's life or his attempt at being a football player. You obviously dont know much "madness"

The justice system doesn't serve the people, it serves a lot of high priced lawyers, judges, district attorneys, and people who can afford those high priced lawyers.

I agree. The prosecution has excellent eye witness testimony. And I definitely agree that none of the eye witnesses or the victim mentioning the white stripes on the hoodie would be a poor reason to let this guy and his friend go. In any case such as this, you tend to remember more of the generalizations than the details. I'd be interested to see if it actually holds up and gets this guy off. I think his friend is just as guilty as he is. I don't care if he wasn't the one who stabbed him. I think he knows more about this than he's willing to let on. Reading some of the things he said just sounded a bit odd to me. Like, why was he scared for his life if he didn't even know what was going on? I think if I were the defense attorney, I would bring that up. Not that I would want to defend Cozad by any means. He deserves a conviction.

This is the legal process. How is that a waste of tax payer money? You want to just skip the courts and send people to jail without trial?

Well, technically the judge is paid by the taxpayers, I think that is what he meant. Regardless, I think everyone deserves a fair shot at trail, guilty or not. Everyone has the right to due process.

I know this clown and his family. I was in a fist fight with his brother not long ago because he broke in to a girls house and threatened to set her on fire. He's now serving 5 years for abusing her children.
Obsession runs in this family. There's no doubt in my mind that he deserved this conviction.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Taurus

Catch up with the chores today, especially if you've got a long list of them and you want to get through them all before Christmas. You're feeling nicely efficient without wanting to work yourself into the ground, so carry on at a steady pace. A few well-chosen words in a certain person's ear will be more effective than a lengthy conversation at other times.
