Hmm I will have to call my Niece, she goes to CCHS.. Hopefully not in band. I don't think she is anyways.. Even so, I don't think he's her type...

This is disgusting of proven true.

You know when I went to Currituck in the 80's, there were rumors of a teacher lady, I cannot remember her name. But she taught some language class, French I believe. They say she used to "TUTOR" the students in her home after school.
And trust me she was no Debra Lafave. Not that it matters, but yuck.

Anyways, I hope the truth gets out, and if any other students have information, now would be the time to come forward. Regardless of which side the information supports. As long as it's TRUE!

If this man is guilty, he needs to be put away permanently, as should all sex offenders(not including some types of Statutory Rape, a 17 Year Old and an 18Year Old getting it on is not a sex crime, BTW).

When I first met him I could sense this weird vibe. I knew something was wrong with him.
It seriously scares me to know we had a teacher like that in our school.

In cases like this I always wonder if other teachers noticed anything?

The man needs to be prosecuted. Our schools should be safe for the students.

I don't give the girl a pass either if she willingly went along with this.

I have a student currently in this band program and a daughter that was in the program and has graduated from currituck. I have always found this man to be deserveing of respect as he worked very hard with his students and for this program. I dont know all the facts of this matter and until proven otherwise innocent until proven.

Just to be clear, my comments were meant to apply if he is convicted in a court of law. I realize accusations aren't reality.

I had him as a teacher, he was strict and very stern, he never had "private meetings" with anyone in the class, although one girl in the class got pissed off at him because she was spoiled and wanted to do thing her way and wanted to do what she wanted, and when he wouldnt show favoritism she got pissed and startd rumors that he came onto her and invited her to his house (he is married with children). She startd trouble all the time, and I feel many girls in this area, who dont get their way will do and say anything to get their way. I feel he is being set up, but we shall see when court comes.

It is a shame that a person can actually be ruined before the possible whole truth comes out. Not saying he is innocent or guilty, just a shame that he is already believed to be guilty in most eyes

Just a shame he is seen to be guilty? For who? Himself or his Wife and Two Kids? He was turned in...whether it was himself or somebody reporting him, either way....there was reason...and it couldn't have been good....
The truth is already out. I don't know what miracle you expect to uncover.

I have grown up in Currituck Co. and this is the first time I've heard of news like this. What the hell has our school system come to?
