Noticed on Workforce that the jail is hiring a few guards. I been flirting with this idea for a few years now. Hear some bad things about the place. That's what's keeping me from applying.

Should I take the plunge?

The jail is a decent place to work in this area. Don't let what some people say keep you from applying. I know many people who work there and they are decent people its just a handful of bad ones gave it a bad rep

You can do both. I know a lot of people that are going to college and are working at the prison. It is possible!

Some people must have a lot of obligations like kids to nurture and support while their drug addict hubby's doing nothing. Except working oh so hard on his recovery. Money says once he done milking the recovery angle it will be same old same old.

So what's your point? If this girls husband is recovering then she's doing the right thing by going back to school. Kill two birds with one stone, go to school while he's dealing with his issues. As long as their kids are being taken care of and the girl is happy then more power to her. Maybe you should take some notes from that girl. Anyone that can work full time, go to school, and take care of kids is one hell of a human being if you ask me. You must be jealous since all you have to say is something negative. You sound like you need Jesus in your life. Have a nice day!

Thank you!! No McDowell isn't bad at all. And whoever was talking crap about this girls family is a piece of crap. I have known this girl for quite a while and all I can say is for her to be doing what she's doing after everything she has been thru its amazing! She is a very sweet and intelligent person. Anyone that would talk crap about her going to school is obviously just jealous of her. As far as the drama at Stevens, I'm a nurse so I work at both places and after seeing what they are like I can honestly tell you that Stevens is full of drama. Whoever started this crap probably works at Stevens. Don't be bringing your drama to the old jail leave it alone already.
