Did anyone else notice that DCH posted the article referred to above by the elevators today? I'm curious to see what the police blotter will say in the Pioneer Press, which I believe comes out weekly, and possibly tomorrow.

I have more info on this situation. The deceased woman was newly divorced from an abusive husband. The investigation is on going to rule our homicide. The lady did have a seizure history and such medication was in her condo.Yet, Her door and trash room door remain taped with evidence and do not cross tape.Management is sticking to their story of seizure death. Hope this helps.

I emailed the author of the referenced above. I asked if there were any updates and why forensics was involved: His reply:

"Sure, ill see if there's any updates when I stop by the station later today.

From my understanding, police brought forensics as a precaution. After an autopsy, homicide was ruled out.

Hope that helps and check the site back later today or tomorrow if any updates are made. "

I am a close friend of the woman who died in your complex. I understand all of your concerns, as I would be the same way if this occurred in my building. Just to assure you, she did pass of natural causes. She was involved in an accident last spring in which she suffered a serious head trauma. She underwent surgery and rehab for this injury. Due to seizures, she was unable to drive or work. I'm sure that due to her young age of 43 (almost 44) that police had to investigate the situation. That would probably explain the evidence bags & finger print dust. I hope this helps. Oh and as far as her divorce and the "so called abusive husband" not true, Joann!!! Don't believe everything you hear!

First in regards to Optima DCH Management, they are one of the most unprofesional careless and rude bunch of jerks i have ever had chance to deal with. Optima was a fun, great place to live when first built. More and more its becomeing a horrible place to live for many reasons. checkout some of the real comments and opinions on this place.

I know this is not related to this topic, however just wanted to inform Skokie Optima residents; that we both were threatened and assaulted in the Maple building and elevators last night on 11/29/2010 around 8pm. These assaulters live on the 9th floor of the Maple building, with parking spaces #910 (Blue/Green Mitsubishi sedan) and #926 (Gold Lexus sedan). My roommate and I came back form getting dinner, and we had to stop for about a few mintues outside the parking garage, because the 2 assaulters in front of us, were not moving. I honked my horn, then one of the guys came out, and started cussing and banging his fists together. I pushed the door opener, he got back in his car, and we went to our parking spaces. We got in the elevator and there was a nice asian lady who saw everything too. The 2 Caucasian male assaulters came jetted in the elevator, threatening and cursing my roommate and I...shoved the food in his face, then physically assaulted us and shoved him against the elevator wall. They spat in our faces, and told us they were going to kill us and slit our throats if they saw us again. They proceeded to follow us to our floor, again threatening to beat us up and kill us...all over a honked horn. There was another gentleman in the hallway who broke up the fight, and told them to leave. We called the police and filed a report, and will be pressing assault charges. I want Optima/DCH to remove these people form living in the building. We do not need these types of low life scum, threatening our safety as home-owners. They are probably renters. And from that night, if any of you were there...I believe they were both very mentally unstable. There definitely was something very wrong with them in the head...you could tell by their mannerisms.

Hopefully, if Optima cares for the safety of its residents, they will evict these 2 people out. It will only be a matter of time, before they do this to someone else.
