Winnetka council has final say on future of post office site

Winnetka officials may have opted not to renew the lease for a downtown post office beyond April 2009, but deciding what to do next with the prime piece of real estate hasn't been so cut and dried.

Winnetka leaders should be like our officials in nearby Northbrook and give the Developers everything they want. Put up those ugly Condos and businesses, crowd them together on land that does not fit them and make the area as congested as possible. For an idea on how to do this just see what is going up at Dundee Road and Skokie Highway. We are getting an 8 story parking garage for all the congested new buildings. In all seriousness I hope the leaders of Winnetka do what best for the Village and its residents and not the Developers.
