Well, what's done is done. For those that don't know Chris personally shouldn't have the right to judge him. Yeah, people make mistakes. He's learning his lesson. There's no point of talking shit about him because that's not going to change anything that happened. Things happen for a reason and that's just the way it is.

Twelve people he DOESN"T know ARE gonna judge him. And very likely put him away for a long, long time. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

It seems like every murderer is not a bad person according to his friends. This Chris seems like a real loser. I lived in Skokie years ago and want to know when it become a breeding ground for this kind of punk.

Just found out today at a funeral that Thomas Andrewski was murdered. He was my cousin, we were both born in Humbolt Park the same year. I haven't seen him since 83' but I always heard he had drug problems. Not sure if he used drugs or just sold them. I know he spent alot time in prison. I heard his sister Karen committed suicide not that long ago. When Tommy was a kid we had tons of fun but I guess he chose another road when he grew up. Sad news indeed. JML

Listen here Tom, you don't know Chris. So what if you grew up in Skokie?! Don't make it seem like Skokie's the greatest place to live because it isn't. Chris made a mistake and he's paying for it. You wouldn't like it if people we all over you about the mistakes you've made. And don't act like you haven't made any mistakes because I'm pretty sure you're not perfect. Besides, this isn't any of your business anyway. If you really had a life, you'd mind your own business and keep your mouth shut instead of talking about people you don't know who have nothing to do with you.

Well that's your problem. Don't come on here saying things about people you don't know because there always going to be others who defend the people they care about no matter what they do. So get over it.

Go ahead and defend this drug dealing murderer. The purpose of this forum is for anyone to come on and express their opinion.

Yeah, I am gonna defend him because that's what real friends do, no matter what. So what?? Let me say something about one of your friends who have made mistakes. You'd do the exact same thing, you'd defend your friend.

Hold on, I'm sorry, how old are you?? And you go on websites for fun to "express your opinion" about things that are going on in other peoples lives?? I'm just curious on what why Chris is so important to you that you have to go on saying stuff about him?? Do you go on talking about other people too? Because I know Chris is not the only one dealing with this.

Okay wrote: Hahaha, I know his whole family. I know his sister who's a sophomore like myself. Folks were tough my backside, he was free to roam. This wasn't a surprise, he's been a troublemaker for a while now. If he caused as much trouble as he did with my parents he would have been sent to a Military school or a Boot Camp for some Drill Sargeants to show that wannabe gangster what real toughness is. Not talking ebonics or acting ghetto, but being proper and disciplined. He would have been crying like a little girl in a boot camp and maybe he wouldn't be killing people over weed if he had been actually dealt with. really think about what you say before you say it because its pretty incosiderate how youre acting. Im looking at both sides &i understand where you`re coming from and how bad it looks. it is bad. but dont be disrespectful and talk about his parents because they are nice people and actually they did do what they had to do. if you actually knew their family and knew what they did basically the past 3 years, you wouldnt be saying that shit. and you would know that chris was a good kid and had a good heart. he does just get himself into tough situations and makes bad decisions. prayers for the andrewski family, and tran family. <3__jASHLEY

yea nice comment ashley. I knew his family as well and over the 2 years became really close with him and his fam. Like everyone said he is a really nice kid. And he does make bad decisions but that doesnt matter because thats not who he really is and pray to God he survives. Much love Chris.

Chris' story shocked me because I had to find out through Chicago Trib's website. First of all, I mean no offense but to kellye and robin: no, it could NOT have "honestly happened to anyone." He did choose to walk into that situation, even after his family (immediate and extended) tried to help him. I hope he's changed when he gets out because I love him as my cousin and I miss him. He was sometimes a mean and bossy kid, but he was good too - loyal to his family and friends. Sure, he committed a felony, mortal sin, etc. But so did millions of other people who were good at heart. It's not like he wished to kill Andrewski.

I've known Chris since 3rd grade. He's my best friend. Yeah, I agree, he's made some mistakes and he's paying for it. He knows that too. Sometimes you have to go lose it all to realize what you had. His parents are good people. Chris is an adult and he made the choice to live his life the way he does. His parents have nothing to do with that. So, to talk about his parents is wrong. For those of us that know Chris, know that he isn't a bad person. He has a good heart. But for those of you that don't know him personally, why sit there and talk about what a bad person you think he is? What do you get out of it? Nothing.
