Can a crime show up on a record without ever committing it?I'm getting a criminal record check done, and kind of nervous there may be something unexpected on there. Truthfully, I've kept myself out of trouble.. however, there's been times when people may have accused me of something such as smashing their vehicle windows. Although I denied it (because I didn't do it) could this show up on my record? So if I haven't been actually charged with a crime, can it still show up without me knowing about it?
