I pay $502 a month for the plan, about $ 150 extra for 5 meds......... I have a hefty deductable and I get billed for thousands after the douchebags pay the pittance they will pay.......... we get robbed.A Canadian posted this:
"I'm a Canadian. In my province I pay the princely sum of $54/month ($80 for couples,$104 for families) for comprehensive single-payer health care. That covers all the doctor visits I may need, plus hospital care, specialist referrals, blood work, x-rays, MRI & Cat scans, ambulance, EMT, etc. I have separate, private coverage for dental, prescription drugs and extended & supplemental care (private hospital room, massage therapy, physio, orthotics, etc).
It's so much more efficient and cost effective than what my relatives in the US have. Nobody, but nobody in any industrialized country in the world wants the kind of overpriced, conditional medical care Americans are cursed with.
If private, for-profit medical insurance were superior to single-payer - if it were cheaper, more efficient and provided better health outcomes, there would be no debate here. The rest of the world would privatize medical insurance, just as so many countries have successfully privatized their post offices, government-owned airlines and other public services."
They have a very good point!
the douchebags say I can save $50.00 per month if i add $2500.00 more to my deductable.....
