We know who allowed it to get in that condition, but remember, you all are better for the town. So, as true grit has said, we'll see if it's taken care of.

Watching poor, brain addled True grit (and all their alias) flailing posts reminds me of a quote from Forrest Gump.

It's obvious, by all of the dodging, that true grit may be right. The question seems to be: are any of the outskirt citizens going to work on the cemetery. It seems the answer is no.

Well sistersvilles son, you don't pay attention much do you? Or are you only in here to get people riled up? The only thing you are doing is making people who really care about the town laugh at you. I will tell you what, the next time I am in town, you and me go up to the cemetery and we will work together on cleaning it up, ok? Put your money where your mouth is and lets do it. I am serious about this and you know how to contact me, if you have an ounce of guts!

Seriously guy? Just checked u out. You're not even living in state. Why are you trying to get involved in Sistersville's government when you don't even have a dog in the fight.

you must not have checked me out very good "guy" because, Sistersville was where I was born and raised and in a short time I am moving back there. So, as I said before, put your money where your mouth is and when I do get back, go help me clean up the cemetery! But I will understand if you can't back up what you say.

And what exactly does the topic of unkempt cemeteries have to do with the city recorder resigning? Nothing.

Just another attempt to derail the conversation.

That seems to be the modus opperandi of these people. If the facts of the matter, logic and truth desert them, then attack the opposition with an unrelated topic.

Since NEITHER cemetery is located in the city limits of Sistersville, It is not up to City Council concerning their upkeep. Greenwood has a cemetery association that keeps up the cemetery. The upkeep of Oakwood should be done by a local civic organization like the Lions Club, Elks, Club, and, since there are vets buried there, the Sons of the American Legion. .

Talking about issues is how we get them fixed. This is obvious with recent events. The topic of the cemetery upkeep in the area has only been part of recent discussions. Many people were not aware of the condition of many of them. But getting the word out will make things happen. When we have only just begun discussion of the topic, why would someone begin slinging insults at people claiming they have done nothing. Like Scarlet Nape said the topic does not have anything to do with the original thread and is just certain multiple personality members of this group using it to change the subject and try to find fault in others. As usual they do not have or choose not to use facts.

If, the cemeteries need attention then start a new thread. The original post bringing the subject up was not intended to request help, but rather to sling sarcasm and start an argument. I think it has already been said that those who we have organized against Will do anything to change the subject or cause more chaos.( I went to Greenwood, where my family is buried and checked it out. You just want to fight---not reconstructive.)
This is just a new example of how they could not take criticism for their actions and how, just like a school child they are saying "but Suzie did this!" Can we please return to the subject of this thread and stop the bull? Please grow up and act like an adult? Quit with the childish behavior. We have had to contend with this childish arrogant behavior for 5 years and it put our city hall in turmoil. You are gone and we are DONE!
Now, back to adult conversation and finishing our cleanup at city hall!

It's the same kind of logic that makes them stay up all night stalking Facebook pages and calling UPS at 2:30 in the morning to complain about something the voices in their heads tell them. It's the kind of mean spirited logic that makes them stalk a disabled person through the streets of town in the hopes of causing him pain and misery.
It's the belief that acting like a bratty spoiled child is acceptable in the real world and that no one can stop them.
It's all the kind of behavior that should make every person in this town shun them where ever they go.

Good Lord, all of you need to grow up and get a life! Do any of you realize that many of the people within the city government (several councilmen and their wives) including those who have resigned AND their families have been threatened!? I commend Police Chief Placer for assisting them when they have felt unsafe in their own homes or walking down the street. You weasels mouthing off about the government have no idea how little these people are paid or the threats and complaints they have to listen to because they are trying to follow the letter of the law.
This town has needed better government for decades and not just for the last five years! Do you really think that former Mayor Fox and Julie caused all of the issues that this city now faces! Grow up! This town has been ill used for years by many of the former city building workers LONG before these two stepped into their offices! None of you have any idea what some of the previous city workers did during the last 40 years or so and I, for one, will be delighted to see all of you apologize to city hall when it all comes out in the end.
The only thing Julie is guilty of is trying to do her job of paying this town's bills and keeping it afloat while dozens upon dozens of your city dwelling neighbors lie and scheme to keep from paying their bills. My bills are paid on-time each month, but I have been there when people have taken the option to pay over time (by the way...this wasn't an option BEFORE Julie became recorder even though the Public Utilities Commission required it until she put it in place according to the requirements) and the amounts of money that some of them owe were staggering! You want to complain about those in the government and how poorly this town is run when many of you need to look in the mirror or out your front door at your neighbors!

If Julie had spent more time taking care of City business rather than worrying about what people were saying on social media like this board, she would have been far better off.
