By not allowing the reading of the resignations he is proving he has something to hide. He was not voted back in by ME!!!! He is voted in by young people he has influence over and older people that he has conned into believing his line. After the storm, I think he showed his true colors and the tide is changing against him. If, I was in his shoes, I would quit while I am ahead! One city official in another town was charged thousands of dollars for using city property for personal use! It is only a matter of time before that personal use of city property catches up with him and his buddies!

I rarely comment on these stupid blogs because I believe that it gives faceless cowards an opportunity to belittle honest and hard working citizens and the only repercussion is to occasionally get their post deleted. In fact I am sure this post will get deleted but I could care less! Dangerousdan must live behind his computer because he has nothing better to do than gossip about the employees of the City of Sistersville! I would like for Dan to reply and tell me just what he has done for the City of Sistersville. Dan, why don't you run for mayor? I bet I know why! Your full time job prevents you from devoting the time it takes to run a city? I think maybe someone should look into everyone's background who posted on here and then start a forum on what each of you has done for the community. I have lived here for nearly forty years and have yet to see a mayor do things for this city like Dave Fox has. Many people don't like Dave because he is blunt and straight forward. You don't see Dave posting on here because I would bet he feels just like I do about these blogs!

As far as the ethics committee goes, Fox wasn't turned into the ethis committee. The city attempted to purchase two tracts of land in Hanford City but were unsuccessful. The third option was a piece of property owned by Mr. Fox. Since he is the mayor it was a conflict of interest and had to be approved by the ethics committee. Also, I have been to fifteen straight council meetings and I have seen city council go into executive session twice in that time so it doesn't appear to me that decisions are being made behind close doors.

I could go on for hours but I will stop here and not waist anymore of my time. Regardless of what I say some goofball will have some idiotic comment to make.

I have been an idiot by talking on here! I should talk to the authorities and I invite others to do so also! Thanks for the enlightenment!!!! You are a good citizen!!!

Don't the women who gave him blank checks know that they are responsible for the money!!!!???? If they don't then they are not bright enough to be working in the office! They can go to jail just as fast as he can!!! If a petition was started I would sign it. Our councilmen and attorney may quit but they are not off the hook if anything is found. They were in there positions during the event so they are just as responsible as the mayor! By the way does anyone know if the MAYOR is even reacting to this pressure or is he ignoring it like he always does and blaming it on everyone else? For those who don't know our mayor has used the cops just like his dad did in Paden City!!!
I would also becarefull about making accusations that you CANNOT backup! I am not sure if you own a home but if you do someone else may own it before you know it.

For 27 years I lived in Sistersville and I can't remember the issues they are having now. This is sad real sad. If the citizens of Sistersville can remember Gene Patterson also used the city truck as his personal truck and it was tore up with in one year. I am not in no way taking up for Vance Ash cause he is no better. In fact if he is driving to New Martinsville and buying supplies that is not being bidded on between different stores is wrong!! Unless it's an emergency it is Wrong and causing the tax payers in town more money than necessary. If he didn't resign he needs to be fired!!!! As with Fox he needs to resign or the citizens need to call Charleston and have him taken out of office and put under investigation. So someone step up and take charge instead of complaining and make Sistersville a great place to live again. Get the red cross rep to type up a report on Fox this should help your cause also !!!!

I am just curious but if the City is in need of, let's use 5 gallons of paint as an example, should they pay $39.99 per gallon at Reliable Supply or should Vance Ash drive to New Martinsville and pay $22 at Ace Hardware? Keep in mind, the city is limited to places we can make purchases since the only method they have to make a purchase is to have it billed to the city, which makes purchasing it at Walmart out of the question. If my math is correct that would make 5 gallons of paint $85 cheaper at Ace Hardware minus the gallon to gallon and a half of gas it takes to make a 16 mile round trip. It sounds like a wise use of citizens money to me. For smaller purchases the city has a charge account and we do end up paying slightly more to buy it locally. I am in no way trying to put down reliable supply either. That was just the first example that came to mind.

Well that doesn't matter in government trust me I work for the government What matters is that driving to Nw Martinsville in city owned truck everyday and using it as personal use. Come on with the cost of gas 3.79 or higher in some places still cheaper to buy in town concidering time, wear on vehicle, Vance' salary and cost of gas shopping in town cheaper!!!!! So since you not factoring in all the cost you look well not so smart

I really appreciate the complement that you are not a fan of mine. I post FACTS, not rumors. I deal with the truth every working day of my life. And if you have been to 15 council meetings and proclaim that nothing is done in secret then why everyone by Bill Rice walk out on Mr Thaw last year???

BTW, I post on message boards all the time. I have broad shoulders and I can take a punch. You took a big swing at me and missed. Better luck next time.

And not a fan, if you are going to call out anyone, next time quote Bobby Pruett when he was calling out RichFraud about 10 years ago in goading WVU to play Marshall. He said "if yer skeered, get a dawg."

Its a shame our great town is in this mess! But trust me this whole mess is already well into serius investigation, those who left are smart enough to try to cover there tail, but this water ballon is soon too bust. No stone will be left unturned. This town will almost come to a halt it will seem, but trust this we are already suffering and those who are guilty will pay!! Me mayor it's your time to pay for your greed and you know that. Time heals all wounds and we will prosper and shine in time.. God Bless
