It was the new sound system they had just put in. It may have been wired wrong or something..won't really know until they look further into it but definitely electrical. It's sad, probably over $100,000 worth of damage done. I grew up in that lil' church. I hate to see something like that happen to any church. That church is a family oriented church and can use all the help and prayers they can get right now.:(

Church and fire department

Huh! Very intriguing!

Only in Sissyville do you have your church and fire department burn to the ground.

OMG can it be any worse in that cesspool?

Yeah I am sure that is the only church that has ever caught fire due to electrical problems in the history of our country. I will assume your are 12 and not fully responsible for your ignorance. I blame your parents. Judging from other comments you have made on here you obviously come from a long line of morons.

I am sure everyone will come together to help out this little church which is full of some of the best people you will ever want to know. As soon as info is available regarding donations or funraisers I hope someone will post it.

. It did not burn to the ground and you must be pathetic to sit at home all day looking for any info you can find on Sissonville and comment on it this just shows how sad a life you must lead to always dwell on others .

Smh do you know what actually caused the fire? What specific electricl problem did it. Bet you can't say can you? BTW has anyone ever given the precise reason the fire department went up in smoke? You do get my meaning don't you Smh?
I really don't expect you to answer these questions today or any other time, but do me a solid and make sure you and your friends use new needles and not used ones.

What a dysfunctional town. I just read somewhere that Andrew Palmer was from Sissonville. I did not know that until just a bit ago. it doesn't surprise me one bit that he and the Sniper has Sissyville roots. Now you see what I mean when i talk about that drug infested cesspool?

Go ahead and get your fund raising efforts started, just don't count on me opening my checkbook.

As much as your are on here posting crap, I'm sure you probably dont even have a checking account to open you check book. And considering no one asked for your money. Don't be rude. And before you go on another drug/needle rant you can think again. I have lived is this little town most of my life, and I have NEVER done drugs. I have seen meth one time. And soon as I did I walked back out the door. You don't know everything. And your comments are very rude and disrespectful to the upstanding citizens of this little town

Well if you mean upstanding then bring on the other two and let's see what they have to say. You know as well as I do that your town has the worst reputation in the state for drugs. And my friend that doesn't come by accident that rep is earned.

You stay in that filthy town and i will stay in mine.

P.S.
Make sure your 4 wheelers are locked down before turning in tonight. Sweetpea!!! People in that cesspool not only engage in drugs and prostitution they also STEAL! Or so i heard! LOL!

You have a good evening Sweetpea!

Actually yes I can answer your question. There was a new sound system that was recently installed. And when the electric came back on after being off for several days it sparked and caused it to start a fire in the sound system. Only the choir area and the altar area burned. But the rest of the church is damaged by smoke and water. Luckily, the man that takes care of the church and neighbors got the fire extinguishers and helped maintain the fire until the fire department arrived. Of course people like you will spread rumors but the people that were actually there while it was taking place know what was happening. If you weren't there don't run your mouth. There were many of nice respectable people that attended that church and now they do not have a church to attend until they can remodel that one. It's really a sad thing & you want to come on here and assume that someone burned down a church on purpose? That's insane! SMH..

One more thing...nobody is counting on you for anything. You can bet on that.
And just because someone "lives" in Sissonville now..doesn't mean they were raised there. They just ended up there making the town look bad.

It does have a bad rep. But not everyone is the same. Some people actually work for what we have! That's like saying every African American is a welfare bum ( which I do NOT believe) Because the town/group has a rep it's only stupid people who believe that everyone is like that.
I will stay in my town. But incase I move.. Maybe you could tell me what town you live in. Since there obviously isn't any drugs, breaks in or anything unpleasant there.
Smh... No town is perfect. That's why to have to be a good parent and raise your children to not be that way. And also thanks for the tip. But everything is locked down. Because a few meth heads did actually break in a few yrs ago. But we didn't pack up and run away because we have the since to know unfortunately bad stuff happens every where!

Ok sissyville. I don't care that u have no life and u judge everyone from this town. You can talk about every dope whore or drug user I don't care. But u need to lay off this church. It means alot to good ppl in this town. U know the ones that u know nothing about. I watched ppl cry yesterday over this matter. My grandmother attended that church for over 30 years and we had her funeral there. I don't care about the fire dept, Andy Palmer, new needles, meth of even u. But u need to watch yourself on this one.

I never said nor did i insinuate in anyway that the church was burned on porpose. Meth fires are never on purpose.

VillGirlTruth

What makes your burned down church any better than my church? I mean if you choose to live in Sissyville and attend a develop thick skin. A building burning in that part of the county can only mean one thing. Think young lady Think!

Ask yourself if someone didn't think a meth lab wasn't a possibility? It may not have been, but people thought it. That's the nature of living in that cesspool!

Perception is everything!

Your right!! Ppl probably do think that one of the reasons the church burnt was because of meth haha it's sissonville. I hear this slander all the time. But I feel no need to defend this town nor myself. i know what this town has become. I am not going to preach about I don't do drugs and I am hard working individual who was raised on two mile. And my church isn't better than yours. I grew up attending there with my grandmother. It meant a lot to me and my family. So I am going to leave it at that.

I am sorry this happened to your church, but things like that usually only strenghtens the congregation. I am sure in one of Gods many ways your grandmother will help out in seeing to it. I really believe that.

God Bless you and your family
