It was just a question. I'm sure the original poster wasn't trying to start trouble; however, just wondered why he quit. Don't get your panties in a bunch. :)

Everyone knows this page is nothing but gossip and hate filled posts. Whoever posted the question is only looking to stir up crap. Anyone with half a brain knows this.

Actually, I graduated from SHS, moved away, and then I moved back to the area. I have absolutely no clue what happened. I tried to google it to see if I could find anything.......... I couldn't. I don't know anyone that still lives in the area or is still at SHS so I didn't have anyone to ask.

He was a coach who stood on the sidelines with his hands in his pockets and showed no kind of emotions. Even though he is a great guy, he really doesn't know alot about today's game of volleyball. Time to find someone who does. It happens. Get over it.

its volley ball..if your complaints are he doesn't show emotion (during a game) and doesn't know today's game of volleyball then you're just fishing for things to criticize him
i would also like to know what's so different about "today's game of volley ball" are there new rules or are bump set spike serve no longer the main components of the game
whatever

Those same PARENTS busted their asses raising money for warm ups, organized concessions, organized food for tournaments, would have done anything to help the team. They also got permission from coach to get the girls pink shirts, but when the assistant coach found out they were collecting money for the shirts she jumped all over them, without going to coach first.(October is half over and the girls are still not wearing pink thanks to the assistant coach)
So they voiced their opinion about something?? I think that us hardly reason for him to walk away. I've seen many coaches put up with a hell of a lot more than that!!

People need to think about others before they start slinging mud!!

Coach Fisher has always coached his girls well and has produce very good productive teams. It's sad to hear he has left due to some parents that think "Little Susie" should get to play more. Maybe "Little Susie" is not as good as mommy and/or daddy think she is.
Take her to another school and let the TEAM be a TEAM. I hope the new coach calls you on your BS and eliminates the trouble makers. No wonder the girls have an attitude with parents like some of you. Good Luck to the fill in coach! Play who you want to play and ignore the trouble making parents.

Coaches shouldn't have to put up with a hell of a lot more than that. Coaches don't coach for the money. They coach because they love the sport and love the kids and want to see their team be competitive. And parents who choose to raise money for the kids shouldn't expect any special treatment for their own kid just because they hosted a couple of fundraisers. Ridiculous.

I doubt anyone 'asked' for special treatment.

no one "asked"...but they "expected" and when the expectation wasn't met, the coach was harassed and embarassed at the game. He didn't deserve the way he was treated.

I'm not hiding behind a fake name here its Courtney ... He was a calm and collective coach that wasn't going to critize and yelled a his players during a game . He always remembered everything and waiting till a time out to tell us what we could do better or just tell us to keep up the good work . Obviously he does know a lot about "todays" volleyball because the last two years we went to states! We didn't get there coaching ourselves .

I didn't play volley ball but he was my assistant coach then my head coach in softball for 2 years...i have so much respect for him! he made things clear what he expected out of us but also made it fun! i loved playing softball for him and everyone i know that played volley ball back then loved him too! I'm sure he has a good reason bc he loved coaching both sports!:)

You're exactly right Jami.....like I said "little Susie probably didn't get to play" and mommy and/or daddy thought she was the best, or....... if they helped on fundraisers, etc. then the parents thought they should have been rewarded! The schools loss and the girls loss. So sad how adults act like this!

Because your response states the word "probably", it is obvious you haven't a clue as to what really happened. You did make one valid point. It is sad when adults like like this and comment on a situation they know nothing about.
