Only the sherrif's office beside the armory allows this 24/7.
These other agencies just use this as publicity.
There is no reason you shouldn't be able to do this any day at a drop box.

My mother passed away 2 months ago and all her pain meds are still inside my medicine cabinet. Tylox and lortabs and a whole bottle of some kind of liquid stuff. I hate to just toss them, because i know how expensive medication can be and i know some people out there need pain meds and can't afford them. I would just give all them to anyone who needs them. Let me know

Have a blessed day

I know I'm new at all this topix stuff, but I don't think giving away your drug to someone is legal. They could be allergic to it and not know then have a fatal reaction. I understand how you feel, seems a waste to just throw medicine (money) down the drain, but I'm glad to know that we have some where to take it instead of flashing into our water system.

You can take your unused medicines to WV HEALTH RIGHT on the East End of Charleston anytime. That's a place for low income families that can't afford medicines.

OMG you people are psychotic.

This is not done as some form of drug swap. Its for the proper disposal of drugs, instead of "flushing" that contaminates water or turns toxic.

Things like expired antibiotics or blood pressure meds. If there are nerve/pain pills involved its actually a small percentage of what is taken in. You rarely see junkies at this, and its almost exclusively lil ole ladies dropping off buckets of expired prescriptions.

You people do realize its dangerous to flush or landfill most drugs, right?

Make sure you take off the labels and wipe off your finger prints and pray you still have insurance or money in the future for the drugs you are getting rid of.

Prescription label has your name, drs name, pharmacy and your finger prints. Your secret government file just got that much thicker as did you doctors because they are tracking him to make sure he's not a pill mill doctor. Peel off or destroy the label if nothing else.

Also plastic med bottles are recyclable(also make cool screw/misc hardware bottles etc) so dump all your meds into the same labeless bottle, wipe your finger prints and dna off the bottle.

Unless I smell or see something wrong with the pill I keep them and have used decade old meds with no problems. I've also thrown out 2 year old because you can tell if moisture or too much air got to them. It's up to you but THINK about what you are doing.

Hey... yo... Sarcastabitch. Did you even bother to look at the very next post to understand the context in which this was said before assuming that was directed at you and taking personal offense? Why of course you didnt.. THIS IS TOPIX!!!!/boot to the chest You just used the tiniest little spark to misinterpret in order to go on a trollish spewspree.

I didnt leave out old men either, because I have worked in the past organizing and overseeing these things. The number of old men who do this is nominal to the number of old women who do it. Most old men either dont give a chit or will just trash/flush them anyway

So how about you take your 28 year old child like immaturity, obtain some reading comprehension, obtain the ability to distinguish between literal and figurative language and growthefuckup. You want to be hateful.. Trust me, I have enough rage, hate and venom to put you under the table little kiddie. So go simpering home with your tail tucked between your legs before mommy and daddy find out youve been acting like a douchenozzle on their internet.
