Buying property in Peever

I know I'm probably going to get a lot of smart ass comments, but what the hell, I'll ask anyway. My wife and I are thinking of buying an old house in Peever. We are from out of state and don't know anything about the area other than that property seems to be real cheap. Can anyone tell me anything about the area, things to watch out for, why property is so inexpensive, etc., etc. Thanks.

don't know where to start ..so here it goes, Peever is the "Dying young for no good reason" capital of Roberts Co., Sisseton is a lot safer and has a lot more services, housing is reasonable if you really look, barking dogs are a constant in Sisseton, the town is not pedestrian friendly, lots of hillbilly's in the 4 wheelers going nowhere at high rates-o-speed, we do like the area, very nice open country, very dry right now ..not looking good for coming Summer ..
