First ate there over thirty years ago, shortly after it opened. My folks have lived in town since 1971 and have enjoyed many meals at the One Way Fare. I'm sorry it's closing. It would be great to see it stay the same but when the staff all get pink slips, methinks there are changes under way. I hope the new owners will bring something great to the table.

I love the place. A real local pub and free entertainment on Sat nights too.

I spent many a fun night at the One Way Fare with friends dancing and enjoying their fine food when Walter was the owner! So sad to hear it is closing!

Yeah, it was some burger place in there and it resembles the name to the abortion pill...Plan B.....what a stupid name.

I miss OWF... the new place is nothing, imo. I suspect it may change hands not too long from now.

I disagree with the negativity. I went there a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night. The food was excellent. Love the mini burgers. Be prepared to wait for a table, thought we didn't wait too long. The downside is that there's no place to sit down and wait when it's cold/rainy w/a large party.

I lived in Simsbury in the early '80s and was a regular at OWF. It helped me get through some lonely times (and cold winters). They had a great flank steak marinated in Guinness. All good things come to an end, I'm afraid.
