Sorry Mike, but I find your attempt this time as stupid and uncaring. Your not-so-funny comparisons are just that. ALL of York suffers if Harley leaves, and if it stays at lot of people are going to be looking for work. While it may be true the the Harley executives were looking for a way to reduce the workforce, you are still "making light" of suffering past, present and definitely in the future. Would you laugh at someone on the Titanic like the musicians who played until their deaths? Or the fanmous 4 chaplains on the Dorchester? I am sure you would not. So what is my point? Well, my not very funny and insensitive friend,I am making the comparison that you are "on" the Titanic or the Dorchester because the readership of newspapers coupled with the lack or acceptance of ridiculously high advertising rates is "sinking" the YDR and the Dispatch.
It is only a matter of time before you too will be in the unemployment line. Even your union will not be able to help you against the vilianous York Newspaper Company or its
Mr. Burns-like Phil Buckner owner. I believe it is inappropriate for you to make light of the grave situation, rather you might have made light of the fact that Harley wants as much as it can get from the taxpayers of BOTH Commonwealths. By the way I am not an employee of Harley nor a member of the employees' union. I DO ride one sometimes, and love it.
