My heart hurts for the family of this boy. My heart hurts for my two nephews Will, Mitchel Stivers that were the best friend of this wonderfull young man. My prayers are with everyone effected by such a young loss.

My sorrow goes for the friends and family in their loss. My question is who allowed a 10 year old out in predicted (75mph) strong winds? Looks like the sheriff and District Attorney would have something to say about neglect.

The sun was out, and no one predicted that it would be that bad. Shame on you for looking to place blame. Hind sight is 20/20, and this child was doing what he would normally do, helping his family. Eric was a wonderful boy from a wonderful family. Get a life, Stan, and may something this terrible and tragic never befall your family.
