Would really like to know how much it cost our illustrious sheriff to get out of trouble this time and where the money comes from. Wonder why nothing is ever in the newspaper about it.

Again...there you guys go posting vague statements with absolutely no substance what so ever to them. If you are going to say something say it!! If you want people to know something that you think is important then just say it. Don't elude to some ominous misdeed. Just come right out and say it. It's easy. You start out by saying Buddy Stump did ______. For those of you that still don't get it the _____ is to be filled in with the details of what he did that was so wrong.

If buddy stump had done anything wrong we would know the law is the law! Buddy and his family are wonderful people and I really don't understand all the bashing and craziness. I have never felt safe here in Taylorsville until buddy took the position of sherrif. He has patrol twenty four seven and has improved so much here in spencer county. Im not sure what it is that people think he has done. There are procedures that have to be followed and he followed those procedures. So what is it that he should've done? I mean he has to obey the law the same as you and I. I'm not trying to cause problems here. But it's just wrong for people to set back and allow such a great honest hard working family be put through this. I live here and have for years. My family came from spencer county. Ive watched the changes. The ups and downs and I've never seen anyone change things for the better as buddy stump has! We all do wrong and will continue to do so. We are human. It's how we handle the situation and what we do not to make the same mistake again. And what is going on with buddy is just nonsense. You heard yourself. " he followed the judges orders." I wish the best for buddy and his family. And he will have my vote to continue to serve and pertect our county.

I agree with you citizen I live off of Main and several months ago my neighborhood was cleaned up! I want to thank them for what they have done for our town. Thank you sheriffs dept and Taylorsville PD.

How many Deputies and vehicles does the Sheriff's Office need. Just heard he's hired another Deputy and is getting 2 new 2013 pick up trucks. Come on Fiscal Court this is Spencer County.... out of contol spending

Chances are... you don't even pay taxes so what's it to you? IF you have so many questions about their budget, it's public record, request it. Yep, they are getting new staff and new vehicles; GOOD!!! The more people AND resources to protect our little county especially with all the sketchy, crack head idiots that keep popping up. Yes, they get to take their vehicles home, because the amount of time it would take for them to drive from THEIR homes to THEIR office to retrieve THEIR vehicles slows THEIR response time to YOUR problems, which would you like to have... a few saved bucks or a few more minutes on their response time for your issues? Think LOGICALLY genius.

To assume i don't work and pay taxes because I have a different opinion than you, makes you ignorant. Yes, I work, have all my life. As far as requesting public records regarding the Shriff's budget, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe his approved budget did not include these 2 trucks.
People understand taking the vehicles home just like bus drivers do, however to use them for THEIR personal use and allow THEIR family members to ride in them is abusing taxpayers money. We pay for the insurance, gas, and maintenance on them, these are owned by the County/Taxpayers. You may think this is OK but myself and a lot of others do not.
As for my logical thinking; I think the next Sheriff is gonna like all the new stuff.

I don't care who runs against ol Barney stump I'm gonna vote for them that guy is nothing but a racist wannabe bully he once threatened me when I was walking away from him then when I turned around he wouldn't say it again he just went for his gun cause he wont be a man and say it to my face or anyone's face for that Fact.
