Can anyone show me provable, repeatable proof of the existence of a god? My criteria: It has to be a repeatable, observable fact. Any claim has to be backed up by valid, credible evidence (and no, the Bible is not a valid source. The Bible has no outside proof whatsoever and thus cannot be used.)

so like Jesus died for our sins, as in ALL of our sins, which would mean he was full of sin, OUR sin which brings a reasonable cause to me wondering how his he in Heaven when he is Full of sin. Is it because He is dady's little studmuffin or is he like chuck norris just that good

Gods working on you now or you wouldn't even be wondering if there was or not. I have seen him do wonders many times over and over from the smallest to life saving one of those was my own. Just ask him to show you be on a doubt.

If you don't believe in GOD, why are you so insistent in spreading your "belief?" We hear ya. Just lay down and live with what you "believe." Somewhere there must be a shroud of doubt that GOD doesn't exist.

Two things. First, I want to spread my beliefs because I want to help the world to be a better place through understanding and knowledge and not through superstition and bigotry. And, for that matter, why get upset at me? I assume you are a Christian, and I have no doubt that you wouldn't think twice about spreading your beliefs, and you wouldn't say a word to any other Christian that would. Why is it wrong for me then? Why can't I advocate my beliefs? Second, the reason I posted this in the first place was to hopefully get a valid answer. I accept that there's a possibility that I'm wrong, unlike many religious people. It's for that reason that I continue my search for knowledge. This was just a question.

And another thing. Why did you post in this topic if you were just going to put me down and not try to even give me an answer? Why would you intentionally call me out when I am just sincerely asking a question?

Well there's the point of the thread. I don't know these things, but I am trying to find out. I've searched basically my whole life for an answer as to where we came from and why. The thing is that I just can't accept the reality of a god without absolute proof of his existence. Every god I've ever studied has been too crazy to believe in. Plus, almost all of them promote bigotry, hate and a whole host of other bad things.

With that said, your question poses a problem unto itself. You ask how we could be here without God. The Muslims would ask how we could be here without Allah. And the Hindus would ask about Vishnu and their gods. And the same thing would happen with every single religion that praised a god. All of these gods seem about as plausible as the others, and all have similar flaws. I just can't accept any gods, but If I had absolute proof, I would change my views.

Not absolutely. An expert could provide a much better explanation, but I'll try.

We can prove that humans and apes do have over 98% similar DNA, and that evolution actually takes place and is observable. However, there is a lot of supporting proof that we and apes have a common ancestor. Which, by the way, is different from saying that people evolved from apes. Evolution states that we didn't evolve from apes, but we simply had a common ancestor. From that ancestor, different species began to adapt to fit their environments, which led to mutations in the DNA code to help them adapt . This led to different species and thus we have all kinds of different primates that are fit to live in their specific environment. However, since homo sapiens spread to more parts of the world than other primates, we simply evolved further, developing things such as language, advanced tools, and all the other things that make up modern humans.

That said, can you prove that God made us?

I have asked him to show me. I've prayed for years for him to show me some small sign that he's listening, or even real. And you know what? He has never shown me anything. He's never performed miracles for me. He's never done anything to prove that he was listening.

Yes, I am a Christian. I ask GOD for things, too that I don't get. That doesn't make me not believe in HIM. HE controls my life, and HE knows what's best for me. My ways are not HIS ways. HIS intellect is fathomless, and HIS wisdom is infinite. WE can't comprehend GOD because we have these little finite minds that were not designed to understand infinity. I see GOD with the spiritual eyes and not with the physical. You can see HIM plainly when you look for HIM with the spiritual eyes. With the physical eyes,I see HIM in creation itself. I see HIM when I observe the universe operating in such a timely manner. Day into night, season into season. This can't happen every day, every year for thousands of years on chance alone. Oh, I apologize if I offended you in any way, but I get easily irritated concerning people who say they they don't believe in "GOD" and, angrily, try to ram it down everyones throat. My life is my testimony. I, myself, don't think you have to go shoving "GOD" down peoples throats. You can live a life where someone doesn't even have to ask if you're a Christian. It somehow radiates from that person. That's my method of witnessing. I know HE hears me because HE kept me from blowing my head off, from jumping off a bridge, and from running my car over a mountain. I shouldn't even be here. By HIS grace, I am.

I've got all the proof I need, when my baby had a cyst in his brain at 18 weeks. We had lots of people praying for him, went back 2 months later and it was gone.

Well show me proof of love. Scientific evidence. Is love something that can be proven... you just "believe" that you can love someone. If you can believe in love then why is it so hard to believe that there is a God. God is love. Today everyone depends on a scientist to PROVE to them everything that happens in life. You can't have faith or believe without a scientist telling you that you can or can not. God Bless you and have a wonderful life :)

I'm not one of those tip toe through the tulips Christians. I fervently stand up for what I believe in regardless of how people may react to it. I do get sick and tired of people trying to ram their "disbelief" down everybodys throat with a hostile attitude. I fight fire with fire. GOD has been understanding toward me for over 40 years, so don't try explaining something to someone who has been there and done that, and faced any situation you can think of when it comes to living a Christian life. I think a Christian should stand up for GOD with the force the "unbelievers" stand up for their so-called unbelief.

don't need proof. all you need is to believe and have faith. seek salvation...accept him into your heart...believe that jesus died on the cross and then he will work in your life.

But I do agree with you!

Find a spirit filled church and go there for sometime and just watch. If you have to have proof and look at life with a logic standpoint. Then go to different churches and just observe.
