Two Valley schools receive Blue Ribbon honors

Two San Fernando Valley campuses were among an elite group Friday to receive a National Blue Ribbon - the country's top honor for schools.

Please do not allow the School Board/or Mayor shine on this accomplishment. It goest to the facultly and parents of this district. .

Now, can the students continue the success in middle and high school, that is where it all falls apart.

My son goes to Danube-he's on the Magnet track, and his teacher is terrific. My daughter didn't have as much luck coming out of Danube. But hurrah for all the teachers' hard work.

I hope this means the schools are teaching learning, and not teaching to the tests (which every single teacher my daughter had said they had to do, reluctantly).
