Friday night's immigration reform rally at Dillon Amphitheatre gave fresh meaning to the phrase "huddled masses yearning to breathe free." The mercury dropped to a frigid 4 degrees at Dillon Amphitheatre, but it wasn't cold enough to keep 200 local immigrants and their allies from lighting candles, waving signs, chanting a few rounds of "Si, se ...

Would you be calling this the second wave of Genocide in America.
It seems as if though your Anglo poisoned blood is still very active with the barbaric, murderous, immoral, genocidal mentality that your ancestors once employed in America in the early years of this Nations history.
Too bad you will be the one getting lynched by Homeland Security. They already have you all cornered and have special 9x9 cells waiting for American Dissidents such as yourself.
You mean like the Mexicans did to the Native Americans? Ask any Apache and Comanche how much thy like Mexicans? Ask them about the CA. missions or the Mexican scalp trade?

Hate much today?

Radical right wing racists groups often report on the “Reconquista” movement, a supposed Mexican effort to reconquer the southwestern United States.
At one point, public discourse by the name of Lou Dobbs who is now a pro-immigration advocate used evidence from a white supremacist group to make his case.
This myth, which has been discredited as a fringe view, is a blatant attempt to characterize Mexican immigrants as “invaders,” as opposed to what the vast majority are: job seekers.

For most of the last 20 years, anti-illegal immigration activists have steadfastly maintained that many of the undocumented come to America mostly for public benefits ranging from schools to welfare to the automatic citizenship bestowed on every child born in this country.
The most extreme among them call the illegals' presence an invasion, often claiming it's a government-backed movement by Mexicans to take back the vast American Southwest, lost to Mexico in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo that ended the Mexican-American War in February 1848.
But the latest numbers on illegal immigration activity demonstrate that most undocumented workers coming to this country are here principally for one reason: work.
That's made clear by a series of reports from agencies like the U.S. Census Bureau, the Pew Hispanic Center and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, all of which agree that the tide of illegal northbound movement across the U.S.-Mexico border is now at a 35-year ebb. At the same time, California's share of the illegal immigrant populace is the lowest in modern times.
Increased enforcement may be playing some role in the profound changes both along the border and around America. But the real story here can be found the same way as with many other stories: follow the money.
It turns out that when illegal immigrants can't earn money here, they move away no matter what public benefits they might receive if they stay. So invasion and nationalistic desire for territory apparently never had much to do with illegal immigration. Rather, it's always been about jobs and the money those jobs allow immigrants to send their children and families who stay behind.

Sweetheart, he is not pro-immigration just because he talked to a Spanish language TV channel. Thanks for letting us know that it is only greed that bring the illegal aliens here.

Rico, you missed this from the socialist author whre admitted that he was not telling the full truth!

"Update: Wow, seems like I set off a bit of a comment firestorm here. Some people seem to be misunderstanding my position, so let me clarify a couple things.

A lot of people seem to think I'm taking one position or another on immigration. I'm not - frankly, I'm not sure I even have a position on the issue. Nor do I consider people who are anti-immigration (or just anti-illegal immigration) to be necessarily racist. And I don't think Lou Dobbs is necessarily a racist either, nor did I ever say that in my post.

What I am is a media critic, one who is concerned by what I see as a pattern in the media of the transmission of white supremacist ideology, either through surrogates like Michelle Malkin, or through the treatment of those ideologies, like the myth of reconquista, as fact. And I think CNN, by standing by Dobbs here, is helping to perpetrate that myth and spread the ideology of some truly vile organizations. I've made the comparison before - it's as if he was reading the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the fake plan for Jewish world domination cited by Hitler and other anti-Semites, on the air and treating it as fact.

As for the idea that some commenters have brought up that Aztlan and reconquista are not myths: I'm aware of the sites that have been cited. And I'm aware of El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan, the founding document of MECHA that some misinterpret as a call to arms or a call for reconquista. It's not - you need to place it in the historical context of the time; the document is a call for self-esteem and self-reliance in the face of oppression, set in the tradition of thinkers like Frantz Fanon. As for the sites, I don't deny that there are some fringe groups out there calling for reconquista. But that's what they are - tiny, ultimately insignifcant groups at a far fringe, being seized on to propagate the ridiculous notion that this is some sort of mainstream thought. It's not. I can show you websites from people who believe that "since 1971-72, the world has lived under an Anglo-Dutch Liberal tyranny," but that doesn't mean a mass of people truly believe that. Having a website doesn't mean you should be taken seriously, and it certainly doesn't mean you represent anything but yourself." Please note: "As for the sites, I don't deny that there are some fringe groups out there calling for reconquista. But that's what they are - tiny, ultimately insignifcant groups at a far fringe, being seized on to propagate the ridiculous notion that this is some sort of mainstream thought."

LOL! That's YOUR version of things, Rico, because you don't understand it. If one's neighborhood starts becoming trashed, people who are concerned with the investments they made in their homes sell them while they can get good prices and move somewhere else to continue protecting their investments.
It's very simple. When the value of real estate starts to drop, those concerned with that value move away. Why should they be slaves to YOUR favorite charities and lose what they have invested because YOU think they should? It isn't cowardice, it's good sense, which is why you don't understand it.
Agreed!

How funny! Only a loser would say such in a country that has built what we have. Freedom is precious, our unique rights are precious. People from other countries don't understand that at all.
No, Americans work hard for what we have and we will fight even harder to keep it. It is our right and our duty. Not only European Americans live here. Your thinking is the narrow scope of a bigot, Oz. There are people of other races here who will fight together for what we've made together. Guess they don't teach you that in La Raza school.
The concept of people of different races and different national origins working and fighting together is so foreign to Hispanics from other countries. No experience with diversity. No experience or history with going to war for a common cause, either. No Latin American countries served in WWII except Brazil. They never learned to play well with others.
It's ironic that the title of this forum is about chasing a dream, but that dream is only about money and personal gain, not the dream of freedom from oppression. Again, foreign latinos don't understand what 'united we stand' really means.
The corrupt fedgov does, which is why they try so hard to divide us as a people. But the illegal invasion is uniting more and more Americans in a common cause -- protection of what we've earned and built, and what we stand to lose if we let the invasion go on. It was the biggest mistake globalist Socialists have made to date.
Agreed, these racist Latinos are not understanding that we are defending America for all Americans, not just for the racist Latinos and their people!

What's going to happen when the "immigrant community" faces millions of armed Americans, fed up with years of arrogance and lawlessness associated with your people?
That is the equivalent to what happened on 9/11. All they would show on television people scared and crying when all the along the masses were pissed off and wanted vengeance. Don't believe everything you see on television.

If the general public starts shooting, the government will hunt them down. Then, well, that will make it easier for the transition into a minority driven workforce. Stop watching those Rambo and John Wayne movies. your judgment is getting tainted.

Do the math. There are over 300 million of the general public, and only a few thousand fed agents who may or may not shoot their fellow Americans--they aren't robots, you know. The corrupt fedgov would have to start using all those foreign UN troops it's been training for years for domestic search and seizure. When that happens Martial Law will have been declared.

Then watch all those UN troops try to find every American who has a weapon in our woods, in our vast urban complexes, in our mountains, on our farms, in trucks, boats and planes, in the labyrinth of tunnels under our cities, and in every American kitchen and garage.

It has happened here before, and it WILL happen again, and will be much, much worse than any war fought on our soil in the past.

As I said before, it won't be pretty, and it will go on for years and years. You have no idea how tenacious Americans can be, or how smart, because those of your heritage never saw Americans at war -- at REAL war. The fedgov knows, which is why it built those concentration camps mostly on military bases. That still won't stop what's coming. Only horrendous genocide and the poisoning of US soil so nothing will grow on it will stop people who are fighting for their lives and freedom.

The 20 million illegals here won't stand a chance, because neither citizens nor the fedgov will care about them. But, you know what they say -- you get what you pay for, and since illegals don't pay for squat, they will get exactly what they deserve being tools caught in the middle. If you aren't for us, you're against us and are the enemy. Their blatant theft of the American Dream will turn into illegals' worst nightmare.
