My family and friends were attending the July 4th parade in Breckenridge and without warning there was an explosion of gun fire. It sent the crowd around me into a panic, including all the dogs. I cannot believe in this day and age the town of Breckenridge would allow a group within the parade to start a mock gun fight. The noise was so loud my ears hurt for hours after! My first response was - the Boston bombing – that’s right – a crowd of people celebrating the 4th of July gathered in one place – what a great target!!
I am not opposed to loud noise, if I go to a firing range, I would be prepared but what I experienced was without any warning and was a shocking experience!!
