Vets Helping Vets Find Health Care

A group of older military veterans are rallying for support across the state for better health care to veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It's easier for them to go to Augusta, VA and get appointments than it is to go to Dorn, and I feel the level of care is better in Augusta than it is at Dorn. I tried to transfer to Dorn when I moved to South Carolina, I got fed up after about 6 months of games at Dorn and chose to keep my appointments at the Augusta VAMC, I get excellent treatment an no stress in trying to get decent treatment. I am 100% service connected also

i dont know about augusta or how the georgia veterans hospitals handle the vets, but i do know that the dorn V.A. hospital is overwhelmed. there needs to be new complete service V.A. hospitals built in greenville and charleston. south carolina has alot of vets per capita and needs new facilities.

I'm not a vet but I am so glad that you're fighting for your rights. I think they treat vets worse than they do people who are in Our country illegal. I hope the best for all of you. Thank you for what you've done for me. God bless all of you! I'm proud to be an American!
