A moratorium on construction of multiple dwellings would help our water problem too.

Another Promise Kept? Funny never heard about it before, but hey its all good to take credit for anything good even when you have nothing to do with it. That is what a good old corrupt mayor does.

If Torrance keeps packing them in, more water won't help for long.

yes the city of torrance should get rid of the illegals who use alot of water illegaly because they are illegal. if no illegals then more water for the citizens. but maybe the well could hit oil and then the city of torrance can become rich like in the saudi arabia and buy a new desalt machine to make fresh water from the ocean. i will go to vegas and bet on the oil before water. maybe 67 to 1 but its a bet.

Like most of the beach cities, we need to stop building apartments, stop building three and four on a lot, and get back to single family homes. The overall improvement to our city through this little act would be tremendous. This makes a huge difference between having people who own their homes and enjoy keeping their city clean and attractive, and not having renters who will only be here a short time and not care what their impact to the city is. Get all the extra baggage out and keep Torrance the city it is and was.

Owner occupation makes a huge difference. You can see what happens when you have a lot of renters and absentee landlords by looking at San Pedro. Rent control gives landlords no incentive to keep up the property and many renters don't care about the community because they won't be around long.

Torrance will have a new well, Will it be a wishing well? Yes said the Daily Breeze. What should I wish for?

Let me see, My first wish would be to clean up corruption on the city council? Nah that will not happen for the next six years.

My next wish will be to have politician who will look out for the city and not their own hides, Nah keep dreaming.

My next wish will be to try and abolish pandering to the public while accepting corporate sponsorship to the councils favorite charities that will be used for political purposes, Nah, too complicated.

Last wish, the Dodgers will win the World Series. Now there is a wish that can really come true.

I'm not for any politicians, but coming onto a blog and whining about it day after day seems rediculous. Like anything else in life, don't complain, step up and run for office. Put on a badge. Run into that fire. Basically, stop complaining and show everyone how it's done. Seeing the same old internet tough guys and experts gets old after a while.
