Review: Pringle Realty

Due to continuous problems with the refrigerator(Pringle Realty was responsive and tried to get it fixed but it kept breaking), constant gang tagging, and someone trying to break into my house I decided to break my lease early. I spoke with Pringle Realty who was the realtor I worked with when signing the lease, to see what my options were to break the lease without penalty. I was informed that as long as I found a new tenant to sign a new lease there would be no penalty for early termination of the lease.

I was able to find a new tenant in who would sign a new lease, releasing me of my obligations. December, 2012 I received an itemized closing statement with a refund check of $201.02 out of an $1,100 deposit. I immediately sent an email stating that I did not agree with the charges. The only “Damage” from my dogs that was included in the closing statement was the handyman claimed that he had to perform waste removal in the front and rear yards. This is not true because my dogs were never out front and I cleaned the backyard myself. Just from the pet deposit alone I should have received $600.00.

I was charged a $200.00 leasing fee; I was never informed of this fee when I spoke to them prior to terminating my lease. The first I heard of it was in the itemized closing statement.
The handyman that Pringle Realty hired to fix needed repairs removed the couch I left for the new tenant, claiming it was infested with fleas. I was charged $18.00 for removal of the couch and the new tenant was charged $30.00 to have the couch returned because after inspecting the couch at the Pringle realty warehouse it was determined the couch was not infested and in good condition. When delivering the Couch back the same handyman that claimed the couch was infested offered to purchase the couch.

I was charged to patch holes and paint. During my walkthrough they told me that I did not need to repair any holes that were smaller than the tip of my pinky finger. In fact, there were several screws and Nails remaining in the walls when I moved in. The handyman claimed that he had to purchase and replace 2 window blinds in the home. The window Blind in the bedroom was broken prior to me moving in and noted as such on the walkthrough inspection. The only thing broken on the window blind in the living room was a plastic piece that went on the
Drawstring, blind was still fully functional.

The handyman claimed he had to clean mildew from the bathroom, I inspected the ceiling before I moved out and there was no mildew in the bathroom. I was charged a fee for a cleaning service to come in and clean the house as well as a cleaning fee for the handyman to clean the walls.

If you rent from Pringle Realty do so with the intention of forfeiting any and all deposits.

I had called about a rental home and spoke to their “office manager and assistant property manager”. Dumber than a box of nails, first of all, she was rude and treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. These rentals are garbage and their fees are ridiculous. Their website states they are professionals. Professional idiots maybe, talk about a horse and pony show. Literally, needless to say, thank goodness I didn’t sign a lease and went to another company. Don’t do business with these people, I checked the reviews after this experience and they are quite valid. They should hire people with at least a high school education.
