Too bad. I wish companies would announce these recalls/discontinuations several months in advance so we could stock up before they're no longer available.
Whomever wrote this story is ignorant to what aromatase inhibitors do. They raise your testosterone (a steroid) levels, accelerate bone maturation in adolescents (not decrease) causing stunted growth. This is not an issue with adults because your bones are no longer growing. Sperm production and infertility issues are caused by the increased testosterone levels. This is NOT permanent, it is why testosterone is an effective (however unreliable) male birth control product. Aggressive behavior is a myth. No cases of "roid rage" have ever been medically documented. One of those urban legends. The adrenal, kidney, and liver issues are NOT associated with elevated testosterone levels from aromatase inhibitor use. Steroids taken orally (not injected) are associated with severe liver problems due to the chemical modifications necessary for surviving the digestive system. Natural (and injected) testosterone doesn't have this problem.
However, if you have prostate cancer there is some medical evidence that elevated testosterone may make it worse. It does not cause prostate cancer however.
I would suggest the author consult with a board certified urologist before spreading misinformation to an uninformed audience.
