I have known both men for over 25 years. Have not a bad thing to say about ether. However, I'm personally much more confident with Jim in this venue.

Jim Daley="Obvious Choice". Opponent has pointed at "politics" as the reason he has the job. Don't forget, Daley was appointed by a Republican. It wasn't a political appointment,it was a logical one.

Why does Franzen have a Kenton County officer on his new brochure? A little odd since he's running for Campbell County. Why are all these Franzen signs in yards of empty government homes? Is this the kind of guy you want as County Attorney? Someone who defended the same people the prosecutors put away.

Franzen is so far ahead of the political appointee in depth andbreath of experience, i don't see why anyone would not vote for him

Just got Daley's latest flyer at my home. Are you kidding me? Trying to tear down Franzen for 30 years of experience doing exactly what an attorney should be doing - defending his clients? I thought the Constitution and due process meant something to an attorney - but apparently not to Jim Daley who implied that Franzen is guilty by association. What a shame. That flyer convinced me and my family that Daley is NOT our candidate. Mr. Franzen, you just won 12 more votes.

Jim Daley has always sought to make our community a better place to live and work. Service to others has always been, and will continue to be, the driving force in his life. Under Jim Daley's leadership, Campbell County has the highest DUI conviction rate in Northern Kentucky and was one of only nine among Kentucky 's 120 counties that had rates above 90 percent.-- Kentucky Enquirer, July 4, 2010 To quote former Campbell Circuit Court Judges Len Kopowski and Bill Wehr,“We know Jim Daley to be a very conservative, honest, hard working, dedicated and non partisan public servant. We know Jim to be a straight shooter who calls them as he sees them and that is what is needed in a County Attorney .”

Jim Daley may be hardworking, but he is also arrogant and apparently with his yellow flyer, tried the stupidest smear tactic of all - attack an attorney for being a good attorney. Voting for Franzen. With the kudos that Daley is getting I am sure he'll do just fine in whatever position he seeks after the election.

Your flyer was a stupid move Jim. Your election campaign so far was on the right track and you were looking pretty good. Great effort by the way in getting your signs out and most of the people I talked to said you were whom they were voting for. You now have dam near ruined it with that trashy yellow smear tactic against Mr. Franzen. You would think that you being an attorney and all, you would be familiar with the Constitutional guarantee that a person has the right to the best legal representation possible when they go to court. Insinuating that Mr. Franzen is somehow painted with the same brush as the people he defends is beyond pathetic, even for you. Here is some good advice for you; I just hope it’s not too late to have an effect. Stick to showcasing your achievements while you have been in office and forget badmouthing a fellow attorney who is a law abiding legal professional only doing a good job providing a valuable service to people that are the accused. Hope you can learn from this mistake. For what its worth, I always thought you were better than this.

Jim Daley's name was never mentioned when cities and counties across the county were given State and Federal grants for overtime, manpower, training and neccessary tools for catching DUI drivers. Law of averages and training at the city level was responsible for conviction rates that you boast about not Jim Daley. Nothing against Daley, do not know him, but give credit where credit is due. Based on experience and reputations of two candidates, I am voting Franzen

Please wait...
The flyer sent out by Mr Daley was a sad display by a politician running for office. Taking from the flyer I guess that no person charged with a crime should be represented in court by an attorney? It seems ironic that a week or so ago there was an article in the paper saying how they graduated in the same class at CCHS....I take it they were not good buds! I hope that Mr Franzen does NOT lower himself to this type of flyer in the days leading up to 11/2 but simply sticks with the type flyer that has been delivered to this point....if anything, Mr Daley should come out with an apology flyer stating that it was the wrong approach to take against Mr Franzen. I know that Mr Daley has taken some heat over the flyer and has probably cost him a few votes from some who may have been undecided.

My mail box has been flooded with TOO MANY ADS. Let me start with I support Daley over Franzen. That being said, I wasn't happy to see the negative ad about Franzen being the criminals choice when it comes to an attorney but I still believe Franzen is not the right choice. I also received my flyer from Franzen talking about the political machine from the 70's still being in charge if we elect Daley and that it will be the same old politics. So, as I sit in my tie-dyed t-shirt and dream about disco and smoking illegal substances, I do not believe that Franzen is the right pick. Daley has spent his life in public service to serve and protect. Franzen has spent his life in service to the public as well from the defense side because every person does have the right to fair representation. Don't hold one poor choice in political advertising on Daley's part against him. Hold Franzen accountable for the extra hours and dollars spent prosecuting the defendents he felt compelled to defend BEYOND making sure they had fair representation.

Very very upsetting that Mr Daley would send out a flyer with pictures of rock bands Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed (with no connection to Franzen), impling that they are criminals who are clients of Mr Franzen. Daley must be feeling quite desperate at this point, but definitely made the wrong move by setting himself up for a lawsuit days before the election. I hope Mr Franzen and the bands whose images were used without their permission go after Jim Daley. Daley didn't lose any votes in THIS house, we hadn't planned to vote for him to begin with and this reinforces our decision!
