i'm a student at villa rica and i dont think they should've been expelled and they sure shouldn't be kept from graduating!!!!! Think about all the hard work those students went through to graduate and now it gone just because of a prank!!!! punishment is ok,(ie. cleaning up the mess they made and paying for damages) but administrators took it way to far!

I think the school did the right thing by expelling them. At the senior level, they should be mature enough to know when a prank has gone to far and be held resopnsible for their actions. They should be grateful no charges were filed against them in this case.

They definately got what they deserved! I saw the photos and there is NO excuse for that. That is not a prank, that is vandalism!Let them get away with this and God only knows what they will think they can get away with next. I think charges should be filed. If my son (18 yrs old) ever did anything remotely as disrespectful as that I would be on the frontlines of his punishment. Parents who defend and/or condone this type of behavior disgust me.

Think of all the work someone had to do to clean up the mess these students made. Expulsion is not nearly punishment enough. My son was to be suspended in 10th grade for not turning in his homework,(He refused a whipping). Because I worked, I refused to let them suspend him, I had them make him spend that 10 days cleaning toilets, washing windows, sweeping floors and empting waste baskets. He did such a good job, they put him on the payroll for the rest of the year, he worked two afternoons a week and he turned in his homework.

Destruction is destruction and this went beyond a prank. Seems like out wonderful Temple bunch had an axe to grind with someone?

I live in Temple also. What kind of example does this set for future graduates of Temple? All involved in this should get punished to the full extent the law allows. This was uncall for. What kind of parents let their kids go so far beyond respect? They were given four years of school to get their deploma's which is nothing like past years!!!! What happened to the pranks that were fun pranks, not destroying the oppertunities of students coming to High School behind them??? Your 18 or 17 to graduate. Time to grow up. Concerned for own childrens future..........

There is a very special code some of us live by and I wish they would start teaching it in the schools. I am not sure where it came from but it sure applies here. Do what you will but harm none.

I'm all for expelling them, but they should get to graduate. They should have to pay to repair the damages and/or do community service, but keeping them from graduating doesn't help anyone.

Let them graduate from an alternative school, not with their classmates. They need to understand that what they did is not acceptable.

I agree with you Weary. But the kids in this town are way out of control. Destruction like this is in every subdivision new and old. They all have the mind set that if they are told no or someone makes them angry they have the right to destroy until THEY feel better. You should see what they did to a lady's fence who asked them not to lean on it as it bent and her dogs got out. She lived next to a local gas station. Most were girls.

I am one of the students that was involved in the prank. Yes, I think it went to far... it was suppose to be a simple prank, and it turned out to be so called vandilism.. half of the students that were involved in the prank didn't even know about the glue or shrubs being pulled up (including me). We didnt know until the next morning. And I do agree it went to far. But they are making it sound like we distroyed the entire school. We NEVER stepped foot in the school, or on the football field. NO cars were driven on the field and NO spraypaint was used. As for our punishment, we have to go to alternative school with a bunch of people that are there for drugs and bringing weapons to school. We are there for throwing tolit paper on the ground and using window markers on the windows(Everything that was done was cleaned up within a hour), we dont get to graduate with the people we have went to school with almost our hole lives, we dont get to go to our senior prom (which are both suppose to be the 2 most rememberable days of our high school lives), and as far as we are lucky for not getting charges pressed against us, we are getting charges pressed against us...FELONY charges!!! You know that this has ruined our entire lives, we wont be able to get into college or get good jobs like most of us planned. We are all a and b students. We know that we did wrong and we are paying the price for it but should we have to look back on a "senior prank" and remember for the rest of our lives that it ruined it. What ever happen to the student that cut the chickens heads off and threw them into the school? they got to graduate and move on with they're lives... we dont! We are not bad people we just made a bad desision, and we know that! We did offer to clean up the whole school, they just didnt let us! But think what you want, I think that we are being punished way to harsh. I believe that the whole alternative school and not getting to graduate with our class or go to prom is enough!

Well, stupid does as stupid is. You got caught and now you pay the price. All it showed was a disrespect for the school system and how mature you people are NOT. Suck it up and do the time. I bet Mom and Dad are real proud of you too.

I am another Student that was involed with the senior prank at Temple High School. I am the freshmen that was invloved! i think the punishment went way to far! We know we did wrong but they should have let you clean it up and pay the price. Like the other said We now go to school where the people there do drugs and brings weapons to school! and we threw toliet paper? Thats kinda putten our live in danger! We are payen the price for all the damage! But the seniors should get to walk with there class! Most of the Students involed have been attending temple for almost there whole life and grew up with everyone there! And now they can graduate with there home school because of a senior prank! I think there was no since in that! Senior pranks have been around for ever! They took it to the extreme!
