there has to be an end to it, if the governer keeps her pledge then she must veto this tax. also they should lower the state tax on fuel, since the big oil gouge is on again

We do NOT need more taxes on alcoholic beverages or cigarettes! Enough already! Raise the tax on junk foods! Everyone, almost, eats junk food!

In light of the continuing sagas of 'massacres' in this country, I suggest a tax hike on ammunition. Yes. For a safer society. Other countries such as Germany make it extremely difficult to obtain ammo, let alone use one's gun. Just a simple extra tax on ammo would help cut down on murderous aggression. And for those of you who say I'm being mean, learn how to make your own damn bullets. I've seen it done in the past and I know it's possible. It's time to re-examine priorities and use some logic thought process. Before someone puts a bill forth to super limit people's access to guns and ammo, despite the 2nd Ammendment. The way things are going, we are looking at the potential for martial law. So I suggest imposing more tax on ammo instead.

If you don't like ammo being made and sold in the USA, maybe you should consider moving to Germany, Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, or Cuba. You would be very happy in any of those other countries who delight in screwing with your rights.

People who want to kill other people will find a way to do it, if they are serious about it. Do you really suppose that having "a simple extra tax on ammo" would really deter someone from shooting someone else?

That has to be one of the dumbest ideas I've heard of. Do you actually think criminals would not simply steal ammo if the price became high enough?

What you propose would only bring more crime, just like all "feel good" laws do.

The real gun problem are laws that allow murderers, rapists, and molesters to roam our streets.

Take care of the criminals but not letting them see the light of day, and you will solve your so called gun "problem".

Hhhhmmmm.

How about raising the tax on meats that are known to cause cancers in HUGE numbers?

Who can defend the bacon eaters?

Forget the slippery slope, as this is a cliff we are all being pushed over.
