I'm all about getting criminals behind bars, but... A lengthy multi-agency investigation for 14 pounds of pot? I dare say I would rather have law enforcemnt focus on some criminals that are a bigger threat to society. Robbery, home invasion...that kind of thing. 14 pounds of pot?

there HAS to be more to this than just 14 pounds of pot on a cattle farm in Ramseur... I would guess the cost of a "lenghty, muti-angency, undercover investigation would be well over the $56,000 worth of pot they "seized". Something sounds odd.

You can bet the cost of this muti-level investigation will add-up to be more than $56,000.00. Smoking pot is better for you than eating beef, and now we have 2 more families out of work without incomes...when are people going to realise the benefits of cannibis and stop wasting money and resources fighting a losing and ridiculous " war " ?

Oh My God,you know what I am so tired of hearing that so much of my tax money is going into busting people for weed. Were these people holding hostages, were these people gang raping teenaged girls at the school dance, were these people robbing stores, banks, other people?NO they were not.Yet they are now in jail. This is about stupid. How about putting some of my tax monies to finding missing children or saving some of these children from there own parents who want to kill them or something. At least when these other folks go smoke a little weed there too parinoid to do any real crimes and too lazy as well.I'd rather people all over the world smoke more weed so that there was less crime.

Well gosh darn it, lets give the cops our Psychic mind reading abilities, why the heck arent they using their magic powers to protect people from things that havent even happened yet, Stupid police. Why arent they using their Great Crime Fighting Radar so they can be right at crimes when they happen. Maybe instead of sitting here moaning why dont you get out there and solve the crimes. Go on right ahead, good luck am i sure you will do great with your psychic powers i bet you would do wonderfully and make all these stupid cops seem like they are wasting your tax money. But then again it does seem as though a few posters so far probably have first hand experience as to how marijuana effects people. So i guess that would make everyone lazy and paranoid, right. Just goes to show that it is not only HISPANICS that are drug dealing. That is why people should not be so IGNORANT in blaming everything on the HISPANIC community.

I do hope many of you realize that the 14 pounds of marijuana would have gone somewhere right and i wouldnt have been surprised if they had just sold a good deal of their "Crop" before they were busted. Anyone that thinks marijuana bust is a waste of time is doesnt have a clue what they unveil. Marijuana bust lead to names, locations, dealers, and information regarding higher level drug and your foolish if you think it doesnt. You do know there is a specific sector of law enforcement that specifically targest drugs, right. Its not like they took someone off another job and moved them to Drug Enforcement just for this investigation. The only most important question i ask is this ( and i ask this in a realistic sense because i know some people arent thinking that why) would you want your Sons or daughters buying this stuff at school. Now if you say you dont mind then i hope you wont be to upset when Social Services comes knocking for your kids.

14 pounds of pot? 14,000 pounds of pot? 14 ounces of pot? Bust all of them at any cost. The deputies and all law enforcement should spend more time getting these idiots put away for as long as they can. All of you who complain about all the illegal aliens and rant about how they have already broken the law by their being illegal... why aren't you ranting about how this idiot and his pathetic looking family have broken the law by growing and selling something that isn't legal. Or are you too stupid and hypocritical to realize that illegal aliens and this ignorant farmer and his ignorant spawns are just as illegal. They are no better than any other criminal. Keep up the great work, all you law officers! Keep it up. And stay safe doing it.

I AM DOING THE BEST I CAN TO SUPPORT MY FAMILY! I DONT HAVE ALL I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE, BUT I DO IT WITHOUT GROWING OR SELLING ILLEGAL DRUGS. GET A CLUE! First they sell marijuana and when thats not enough the start selling harder drugs and so on and so on. These people own a farm and lots of farm equipment, if they need money that bad, SELL SOME OF THE FARM EQUIPMENT OR CATTLE! DUH!
