They don't expect it to happen, but the petitions are going around. New Jersey even has one.

You know for someone who has an opinion on everything, you sure are disconnected with reality. You do realize that we would be still under British rule if things like this didn't happen. It states in the declaration of independence the very right to do this. Quit being so hypocritical and read something sometime!!!

Hmmmmmmm. I would say Missourians wanting to secede are driven in equal parts by stupidity and racism. Slightly less driven by stupidity for states that have a coast.

I would argue that it's because of the current state of government and its oppressive ways and outrageous taxation.

Do you think Missouri would be better off as a seperate country?

I never said I signed anything. It more than likely won't happen for any of these states. But, that being said, it has to send a message to the government that some people in some states are wanting change. Change that no one on here but me is speaking of. I support their right to sign the petition if that's how people feel. If that upsets you, im truly apologetic!!!

States have been trying this for decades, the problem is getting 25000 signatures in 30 days and if you do the adninastration has to approve it and we know that will never happen.I hate to bust your bubble but it has nothing to do with tea bagger types rebublicans and Dems have all tried it at one time or the other.Do a little research and you will see for yourself this is nothing new.

I don't doubt that some republicans have made absurd efforts to secede. You're remarkably misinformed to think seccession petitions have any legislation behind them or the president would be involved.

Something was mentioned a few month ago about Calif. wanting to divide in half. Also, wasn't there something about Illinois because most of the money goes to Chicago?

I am proud of the states that has stood up. I signed the petition, it should open the eyes to someone that something is wrong with America, when 20 states want to withdraw from the United States

There is not a single state that wants to secede. There are only groups in various states that hate Obama and jabber about secession.

The type or style of person who would actually sign this petition are the same types that rant about freedoms, patriotism and the sovereignty of the United States and how each is under attack by our President. But allow one democratic process (ie. lawful election) to not go the direction they think it should of and they disregard everything for talk of secession.

Such behavior is unpatriotic, unjustified, embarrassing and only serves to further divide this nation.

Your actions will not "open" anyone's eyes to anything. It will be accurately viewed as an utter joke and illustrate just how pathetic individuals like you can be when they lose an election.
