Yeah, I heard it was the kindergarten. A tot was selling flintstones on the playground. Which Sikeston school? There are about 12 or so.

That is funny!! I heard about it too. It was rumored to be at the High School....I am not exactly from Sikeston. Heard the name Clayton mentioned (don't know if it is a first or last name) said they hauled him off and found some kind of drugs in the car...Please don't quote me on any of this. I know how people can be judgemental but I think it is great they are trying to clean up the drugs. You gotta start somewhere.

My son was recently accused of selling weed at school. I was not happy when my son came home nad had told me he was searched for weed due to a couple kids claiming they seen him selling it. He was searched by the principal, she made him take off his shoes. I was not even notified by the school this went on. I asked the principal why this matter took place and I was not called and, she claimed that she did not have to notify me. I asked why a male was not present when he was checked and she said that another school memeber was prsent but, she was a female. I feel like when a boy is checked a male should be present. I understand that drugs are a serious issue in school and, she be handled, I totally agree with that but, they should be handled in the correct manner.

the principal should of contacted us when it took place but, she insisted on taking it on herself but after talking to her she won't make that same mistake twice.

This also happened to my son when he was in school. There was no validity to it whatsoever, but the principal was all set to have him arrested, kicked out of school and all that goes with that. After it was all settled, the damn principal didn't even have the courtesy to offer an apology. Needless to say, my son does not have favorable memories of that s.o.b. I'm telling you this so that when and if your son is cleared of any wrong doing, you demand an apology if they don't offer one.

I'm not so sure the principal has to contact you until the juvenile authorities are present and ready to ask questions.

When I was in school, they were required to call parents and proper law enforcement officials to the school. Parents had to be notified, especially if you are under the age of 17. Missouri standards are at the age of 17, you are a adult, but parents are still held responsible for most of your actions. Law enforcement has to be there so drugs cant just *show up* on the person they are searching, which is also why the parent would be there.

what they mean is, the cops can plant it on you if they want you bad enough. Say they got a kid they think is out doing some crazy stuff, and they are begging to catch him in the act. They drop a joint while they search him, saying it came out of his jacket pocket. Then they get him for the other stuff they think hes doing. that kind of thing
