These new homes coming to town won't be any better. They may just be cleaner for a year or two. I agree some of these local administrators do not need to be taking care of our elderly.

I went to the administrator after my mother complained about this cna being very rude and really mean to her. He promised me it would change but it's been 3 days now and this same cna is dragging her butt up and down the hallways and still coming into my mothers room. My only solution is to play by the rules and file an complaint with the state. There are no rules at Miner Nursing Home.

it's sad to say but it's not that great of a nursing home. I have visited there many times and I just want to cry.

so have you done anything about it, other than post your bs on this site? who have you contacted to help? did you speak up to staff that was working? im sorry but i can personally tell you there is NO WAY i would want any of their jobs. every nursing home will have those bad apples in the bunch, but there are also those good workers out there too so quit downing everyone and everyplace.

if this indeed is true (ahem), then it would be YOUR responsibility to get off your ass and make a difference. if nothing is getting done (per what you are claiming) then put in for a change of nursing homes. its not that hard to figure out!

are u serious about having people take there family members out of this nursing home because of a " few bad apples"? what will that accomplish? the problem will still be there and the owners will be receiving less money. use common sence please and use your brain more if possible.

I was commenting truthfully. if the truth hurts then so be it. I hope your language you used against me doesnt represent the hard working staff at Miner Nursing. not including the butt dragger though.

if you dont like it, fix it. if all you can do is gripe, find some diff good meds to fix your irritability problem (since all you do is sit on your ass and whine all the time). if it was my loved one that was "neglected", you can bet your ass i would find another "good" nursing home, or better yet take care of him/her at my own house. have you ever thought about that? too most, it would cut into their daily life and they just wouldnt have the time. older people are like new puppys, the new wears off and then they get tired of messing with them. its sad and im sure you are one of those type of people with your loved ones. how about you practice what you preach when telling others to use commen **SENSE**

I agree with name withheld. my grandma is at the convalescent center and it has had it's bad moments as well but nothing like I been reading here. the management better listen to everything people are saying. by the way a nurse here at the center was talking about this topic as well as others.

u evidentally have a huge problem too, if all u can do is sit and complain, instead of talking to a source that really matters.
