No matter how long you wait I doubt the property values in that area of town will go much if any at all.

That neighborhood will do just fine once all the trash has been removed and more people start building on those empty lots. "May not" is right though, as long as all that crap continues and all those nasty trailers are still there, the property value will not go up. U can live in a nice neighborhood but if the crime rate goes up or the neighbors decide to let their house fall apart then ur property value drops. Likewise. u can't buy a cheap house in a crummy neighborhood and expect it's value to increase over 10 years if the quality of the neighborhood hasn't improved. On the bright side, if everything goes as planned and all those trailers are moved out and houses built in their place, there will be some very happy homeowners. Some of those people have lived in those homes for 20+ years, which means when they bought their house they probably only paid half of what it would be worth now if it were in a different neighborhood.

i live on harry street and not all people here are bad people! there is a couple of looneys over here but that doesnt make all people bad. i do agree that is was bad for the babies with the meth and all.but just because there was a drug bust here doesnt mean that this whole street is doing it.its a good street.
