Wayne Hyde did not attend SHS nor did Ricky Morse. Wayne was from Morley and Ricky was from Morehouse. However, thanks for adding to the list. I know there are still others to be added.

Does anyone know if Curters Burnett, Alan Hall, Jr, or Leslie Karnes graduated or went to school at SHS? This Topix was started for Sikeston High School students and grads only. It has already been stated that Richard Morse and Wayne Hyde were from different towns. Richard Morse was a navy corpsman with the marines and Wayne Hyde was a marine. Both great guys who gave their all for our nations cause, but they were not from Sikeston.

I checked the Vietnam Memorial website and Wayne and Richard's hometown was listed as Sikeston and they are both buried at Garden of Memories in Sikeston but technically they don't belong on "your" topix.

Thanks, "Guest" for your effort. I was at Wayne's funeral and I knew Ricky very well. They both deserve to be remembered. As I recall they may have been the only ones from Morley and Morehouse who were KIA's.

What was the Marine's name that lived down on Greer Street that got shot up and almost lost a leg? I think he was out of the Class of '65. Shelton, or Skelton? Anybody remember?

Donald Shelton, also Larry Rodgers was wounded over there. I believe that was his name, he is Wayne Rodgers younger brother.
