It is amazing to me how many employers live like kings and queens but care nothing about employees or their children. Do you ever stop to think there are many hard working people that live paycheck to paycheck and Christmas time is extremely hard for them. They dont put their children's names on trees or lists for free presents. Their children will do without.

Exactly!!!! I think they give away I-Phones at the food stamp office anyway. Almost everyone in the stores with an EBT card in one hand has an I-Phone in the other. Cause surely if the scum can't afford food, they wouldn't be paying over $100 a month for an I-Phone. Would they?

I am actually talking about working people with no freebies, not welfare pimples on the butt of society.

You are talking about all the welfare supposedly poor. Go in their homes and you wonder what the heck. Wonder how many welfares that have Iphones, flat screens, gold chains, teeth, expensive tennis shoes are doing without Christmas?

you are 100% correct. i few years back i lost my job, went about 4 months without work, when i did get a job i was making half of what i was with no insurance. 6 wks after i started i daughter found out she had cancer. we did strugle, damn near lost everthing. i did without a lot of things. but i would have never got on heer and asked for help. i worked 3 jobs and i took care of my family, never took any thing from the goverment. it can be done and if more people take more personaly responsablity for there own live and quite asking/expecting handouts our country would be a whole lot better.

Its not about you having the money to buy alot of gifts. We use to get 1 toy at Christmas cause that is what my Mom had to work with. We might get a few clothes cause that was more useful. I look back now and know it was a lot of stress for my mom to just come up with money to do that. I have a good job and two kids. I know that whatever we buy them will never be enough. I miss Christmas time from back then, I don't think I can remember what toy I might have gotten on one of those mornings, but I do remember the little things that my mom would always do for us. It might sound stupid, but I still tell my Mom to get me a small bag of pecans for Christmas, when she asks for a idea for me. Remember its the small things that make the biggest inpact.
