My ex worked for Burch from the time he was 13yrs old, he started out sweeping the warhouse. he had worked his up the ladder. He worked there for at least 30 years. They gave him own company in tenn. then all of a sudden I heard they told him they restructured and there was no place for him. Thats what they do to loyal employees. Think before you start work there

I am not trying to defend Burch. I hate working there, but I will defend against lies. They still own the TN branch. And the same Division Manager is there that has been there for a great while. The only person gone from Admin in TN is the HR Supervisor. They did sell the Paducah branch to Pepsi. Hope the sell the whole company to Pepsi, it may be a better place to work. Or, maybe Mr. Bill Burch will take it back over. Heard it was a great place when he ran it. Steven and Tammy seem to be elitists!!!!

Maybe you shouldn't believe everything you hear. That isn't what happened at all. Call someone that currently works there and ask them about it.
I have a couple of best friends that work there and know that story. It has been told alot, but just isn't true.

I had some dealings with one of the sons several years ago. He was an arrogant, pompous, *sshole and thought of no one but himself. A real piece of work he was. If he hasnít grown up any, or changed his attitude and way of doing business, I sure would not want to have anything to do with him. If any of the others are like him I would not want anything to do with them either.

I used to work for Burch in the office- and I hated it. They do not pay nearly enough- the insurance benefits are horrible- you don't get any vacation time for an entire year- and then it is only one week. I was told that if you miss more than 3 days in a year- you would be written up.

Plus, I had worked there for an entire week before Steven Burch even spoke to me. He never introduced himself- he never said hello- he never said anything. When he did say something- it was to order me to do something. He was very cocky and condesending.

I have a really good employment history- and luckily I only had to work for Burch Foods for a couple of months until a better oppurtunity came up.

If I was to recommend anything- this is it...

Any job in this economy is better than no job. Just don't expect to stay there long.

They do not treat their employees as assets- which is a shame in itself. THey would probably benefit a great deal if they did do that.

All of you who are against Burch don't know anything. My dad works for Burch and the Burchs are very close family-friends. You think you know what it's like, you don't. My dad loves his job and would do anything to ensure the prosperity of the company. He has even won awards for all the hard work he does. My dad works longer hours than anyone, probably even Steven. He gets calls in the early hours of the morning to go meet cops because the alarm system was set off, he is out of STATE usually three times a week, and is always getting calls to fix things or help with catering. My dad spends more time at his office or out of town for that job than he does home. So don't tell me that people that work higher up for Burch are disrespectful or greedy. Once you live with someone who works the job my dad works then you can talk but until then you have no idea.

Burch is a good company. Just remember that you get out of the company just what you put into it. If you treat the company bad that is what you will get in return. The Burch family is just that, a family run business and some of you just dont udnerstand what that means. Bill and Steven have built this company and it has grown with great management. The company will only help the local economy. Just give it a chance and you will see for your self.
