Rick got the job not only because he's Ed's friend but because he always snitched to the downtown office about Chester but maybe he'll let the supervisors at the plant do their job. Chester wasn't good with people but he's very knowledgeable
about the plant. I used to work out there.

Who cares about the plant manager. We need to talk about the Christmas star. Do you think that it will go up this year??

I think the board needs to look into this. Its not right to promote people because they are your friend. Chester should not have been replaced especially for NO reason.

First off, if you don't know anything, then don't talk. Secondly, the train tracks are still there. Lastly, Throop is the BMU head. He is NOT the plant manager, but the head of it ALL!!
You need to get your eyes checked!! The MP/UP tracks got ripped up!!

How are your eyes, the bnsf tracks are still there and allowing
trains to deliver coal to the power plant and also to New Madrids
power plant, along with many other areas. Yes the UP tracks are gone
but had nothing to do with BMU. UP (union pacific) is the one's
who abandoned the tracks and had them removed...

I believe there was a lot of controversy over it last year and a lot of the men didn't want to put it up.

Yeah, they were being pissy last year, something about a safety issue, but they'd put it up before so what made it more unsafe? I think it's a neat thing to see.

I heard the star is NOT going up again this year. That just a shame because that was one thing I--and a lot of other pppl--always looked forward to seeing.
I also heard there is not going to be a Christmas Party. Wonder what is going on all of a sudden!

Just wondering do they recycle out there or do they let employees haul off all the stuff they could recycle and keep jacking our rates?!

Don't know where you live but Sikeston BMU hasn't had an electric rate increase since 1994, that's 17 years if you can't add. Try living in the country, ask them how much they pay for electric. There's probably not an electric company anywhere that's gone that long without an increase.

You are so correct! I don't know ANYWHERE that has cheaper power than Sikeston does. I am sure that before long there will be a rate increase since it's been so long since there has been one.

We live outside of town & on a different Utility Company & they once again this year got another increase like around 16%!
We burn wood through the winter & our electric bill is as high as it always has been . So much for trying to save a little bit through the winter months!
Who gives a rip waht they do with all the junk that needs to be hauled off out there. If you wanted it why didn't YOU go ask for it?
