I have went to family first, Sikeston medical, whatever its called for over 5 years. I saw a dr at urgent care but he said he was only seeing their patients for a month. I need blood pressure medication and can't find a dr taking new patients. It's just blood pressure medication, like I said. Any good nurse practitioners would be a great help to me as well.

You might try Benton, Dr. Micheal Jessup, he's across from the court house. Also you might try Semo Health Network in Sikeston.

I f you are over 62 you might try Scott County Health Dept. They offer that service to senior citizens among other services such as blood work.

If you don't mind the drive you might also try Dr. Lombrou in Chaffee, I use him, because he will write my BP script for one year. If you don't have insurance, he only charges his patients half price for an office visit.

My family sees a FNP --- Amber Jones at MO Delta Primary care. She is taking new patients and she is wonderful. We are so thankful that we got into her. The whole staff is great! Give them a call:)

It's just because you were a patient of a doctor that was well known as a pill dispenser and a sexual predator. Most likely they think you want dope. It's sad when these pill popping dope heads make life harder for everyone and even sadder that a "doctor" was nothing more than a drug dealer. I feel for you, finding a new doc will be hard. Good luck!

Also to the person who started this thread, I've heard from several ppl including a dr from southeast hospital, that Dr. Jessup is a very good dr.

Article includes the Benton facility. Dr. Jessup is part owner in this facility and sees not just ob patients, he also see family practice patients.

Obviously you haven't seen the threads about Dr Jessup in the Cape Girardeau forum. Dr Jessup is awful! I have no what "several ppl" you talked to but I think you'd have trouble finding anyone that'd recommend him...unless it was his whore of the month! What a train wreck!

I went to Semo Health Network. Had a really nice doctor there. Saw him a few times. Called one day to make an appt and he left and moved to Minnesota. They gave me another doctor. I didn't like him as much, but I continued going. Same story again. After a few visits, he left. They gave me a third doctor. I also liked him, but he was also big on tests, expensive meds I couldn't afford, etc. After a billing problem, one of several I went through in the three years I was there, I decided enough is enough. The doctor's at SEMO I liked. Everything else I didn't. I felt their receptionists were rude. They kept shortening their hours...and if it snowed a flake, they closed for the day. Maybe someone else might have better experiences there. I went back to Ferguson and have never had a problem with billing, insurance, etc. Plus, I'm on cheap medication for the same medical condition I was on at SEMO. I know its hard finding a doctor to take you in town. I've called several who was accepting new patients. But when they find out your on certain medication, they change their minds and tell you they are not accepting new patients.
