Have you tried Simply Jiff? Less sugar and we think it taste better than regular peanut butter.

No I haven't, with me being a diabetic I'm always open to trying new brands so I'll be checking the Jiff on my next grocery shopping. I do not like peanut butter that has the oil flavor. Thanks

One of our favorites,

pancakes and bacon

I tried the Log Cabin sugar free syrup. Not as good as the regular one, but not bad either. It's a little more runny than normal.

The difference though is the normal serving is 1/4 cup. Log Cabin regular maple syrup is 50 grams of carb. The sugar free for the same serving is 8 grams of carb.

Monday dinner

First time buying breakfast steaks & a good deal on the family packs paid less than 3.00 & about 5-6 steaks in each pack. For sure I'll be buying these steaks again.

I dipped steaks in egg wash, then put in seasoned flour & deep fried two @ a time. Put in a oven to keep warm. I made homemade beef gravy added onions & mushrooms then added to the steaks. Made another pot of mashpotatoes but added garlic & parsley, hubby made the mac & cheese. He swears he makes the better mac but no arguing it's one less thing I have to cook but hate the mess he makes.

As for dinner tonight I haven't decided yet ...

Yesterday evening my husband & I went to Chester's in Matthews & had dinner gizzards & potatoe logs, since then I've been sick. We ate there before no problems, just not for sure what happend. But have to say they have the best gizzards & potatoe logs.

Tonight for dinner my hubby is going to bbq outside so no cooking for me, all smiles. Well I still have to slice onions ect. for the burgers but still all simple.

Dessert we still have leftover peanut butter cookies.

Buttermilk Cornbread

1/2 cup butter

2/3 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup cornmeal

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8 inch square pan.
Melt butter in large skillet. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Quickly add eggs and beat until well blended. Combine buttermilk with baking soda and stir into mixture in pan. Stir in cornmeal, flour, and salt until well blended and few lumps remain. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
