What happened to the "one plant" philosophy? Shut the North plant down, then shut the south plant down. Unilever, you want to keep the union out, this isnt the way to do it!!!! I think everyone that has sick days or floating holidays(whatever they call it now) Should call in sick Thurs. and Friday. Maybe we can send our own message. What they have done is over done it with the safety. Think about it. You buy a new car, your are so careful to keep it clean and scratch free. What happens? You scratch it. Lay off of people for a change. Management, WAKE UP!!!!! Company moral is in the shitter and things arent going to turn around until we feel we are something more than a number on a time card. You have lined the business with enexperienced supervisors. They demand respect instead of earning it. Back to the safety. Punish the ones that arent smart enough work safely, and reward the one that are. Look at the employee safety lists that used to hang on the walls down the hall. Look how many people are being shorted on their paychecks. Most of them have been injury free for YEARS!!!!!

Uniliever could care less how we feel. They have got some of the supervisors scared about losing their jobs. someone is going to lose their jobs over this. The lady that got her finger cut off the supervisors new she could not do her job. She had complains agains her on gracier 5, She couldn't or wouldn't do it, so why didn't they put her back to hanpacking or let her go. Some of these rappers amd operators or a joke. Most of them only know how to start it up and run it and no matter what the product looks like instead of fixing it, they just keep running it. These supervisors need to get out on these lines and take a look at what they have running these lines.

They talk about safety, but they run these machins so fast that the bars are chopped and in the long run it is killing us hand packers. I am scared for our jobs too. I go in and try to pack the best product i can, but you tell me how i can when no one cares? They hire handpackers that have no speed and are not qualified and some i feel are not mentality qualified. That is my opinion, i no some will not agree, but so be it. I know if we lose our jobs, alot of people will have a hard time making a living, because we will never find another job that pays as good as uniliever.

No holidays left? They wouldn't LET us take a holiday or personal day. We are SUSPENDED without pay for PUNISHMENT. And that is funny that ones that are actually hurt still GET paid and the ones that didn't are losing 20 hours ob our check. The handpackers are losing two whole days. So I was off on Monday and now I lost 20 hours of pay. At $16.11 an hour that alot. No daycare to be paid with next check.

I had rather have the days off without pay then to be the ones that got hurt. For one thing, i doublt very seriously if the rapper will have a job after this. That was a stupid thing she did. The the other guy, it wasn't his fault. They had to do something to wake these people up and yes is hurting alot of us, but if they don't do something, we are not going to have a job.

Im saying we should all call in on Thursday and Friday and use our personal days to cover them. Yesterday and today is a loss. Bottom line is if you want to stop accidents and raise company moral. Throw the bidding system out the window and go back to the good ole days where extra hard work and geting envolved, doing a better job meant you had a chance for advancement. I hope I speak for a lot of folks out there. Yes its a good job and I am thankful to have it. But it has become a complete JOKE!!!!!

Do you know what the word SPHERION means? They are not going to put anymore full time people on. They are going to get rid of the full time people when ever they get the chance. It dosen't matter how good of a worker you are they can hire sherion for half what we make and no do not have to carry ins. Come on people you got to realize we are nothing anymore and if you don't like it, they don't care, you can hit the door.

I agree i wouldnt want to be the one hurt but i do think that south plant should have been shut down too. Granted that north is getting most accidents, but they claim we are all one plant so why cant BOTH plants be shut down to "teach everyone a lesson" we all get shuffled back and forth all the time so why is it limited to just one side of the city? Good thing i was at scheduled foir south plant this week. i lucked out.

Yes the accidents are bad, but they are accidents no one wants to get hurts. Both plants are under a lots of stress with all the rumors going around. Not everyone is against a union, a union is only good if you put the right people working for you.

These people that own us now will not put up with a union. It is as simple as that! You vote a union in they will close the door. What i make is a good living. I can't fine another job making what i do now,so you people talking union just go ahead. You will be sorry because jobs are not that easy to find around here.

The plant in Tennessee can accomodate approximately 6 large ice cream plants. They are shutting down the slim fast lines and it will become a super plant. Unilever does not have to pay state taxes to Tennessee. So whether you are union or not, you are not safe. Why would they build so close to Sikeston? 110 miles away? I would just do whatever it takes and just be prepared. I don't want to worry anyone but this is what we are hearing. It is too late for Hagerstown and Framingham. It isn't because of the unions but they are higher states to live and manufacture in. They only showed you those films to make you aware. Improve your safety record, attendance record, and moral and you may miss the cut..Good Luck to you all..I wish you all well..
