No, it was appreciative of the so-formidable parts of the picture... and appropriately dismissive of the parts of the picture which did not move me.

Hey, I lived in Vegas when Elvis died, and I didn't care about that either.

Thoughtless, No. Uncaring, Yes -- in the sense that I truly didn't care that he lived, and feel the same way about his death. No meanness meant; I just never found it necessary to care about Michael Jackson... and certainly not to mourn his death in any real way.

Those who wish to do so, go 'head on. Just don't insist tht I join you; it's sort of the same thing as folks' insistence that I agree with their religion: No, thank you.

Besides, why were you in such a rush to declare me "mean", when my post could have simply meant that somebody else of some note died yesterday -- someone else who was in fact "she". How could you be so bloody sure "they" didn't mean "they"?

Easy to assume, ain't it? And you know what they say about that word....

Correct quotation: "The lady doth protest a bit too much, methinks." And I ain't no lady!

Who's protesting? We've already agreed that one dirty mind recognized another in the true meaning of "they". I'm not protesting, but only saying that my comment could in fact have been something very different, and that other dirty mind would therefore have been mistaken.

A convoluted attempt at damage control, in my opinion.

"Damage control"? When I've tried to make it as clear as I can that I just don't care?

No, my son: Just because you've found a new term, that doesn't make it correct.

"Damage control". Sheeeesshh....

Your condescending use of the term "my son" further diminishes your credibility.

An acronym: DILLIGAF. Condescension can be fun.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Pisces

Keep well clear of anything or anyone that looks like being a problem, but at least you can hold your own. This is a marvellous day for taking care of someone who isn't very well at the moment or who needs all the sympathy and understanding you can give them.
