Sheriff Dever died in a car crash near Williams last week.

A memorial for Cochise County Sheriff, Larry Dever will be held Wednesday in Sierra Vista.

It is sad when anyone dies, and I feel for the family, but others have died in this community that deserved as much remembrance from the community, yet they were buried quietly, with no acclaim, andnobody seeed to are.hy was it necessary to make this into such a circus, if Mr. Dever was as modest as everyone said he was, would he have preferred a simple service? We will never know that answer, but one thing we do know is, that in such a tough economy, and taxes ready to consume the property owners of Cochise County, every dollar is precious, I was just curious who footed the bill for all the fuel, wear and tear on Government vehicles, time on the clock etc.

Look douche bag, a funeral is for the grieving not for the fallen. Paying proper respect to a man that has given so much isn't much to ask for idiot!
A few hours of respect for a life time of service isn't much to ask.
