Are You Better Off Now??

Are things better now after three and half1046 years of Obama? This is the question of the hour that must be asked repeatedly until it becomes the mantra of all who love America. If you owned a business and hired someone to manage it for you, there would be an expectation of a profit at the end of each year. What if your business ended in the red at the end of the first year? What if that manager borrowed money to stay afloat and ended up in the red again the next year? What if more debt was accumulated and the third year also ended in the red? And what if your manager kept blaming the previous manager for all the current problems after three years? And what if your manager proposed a solution for your business, to straighten out all the problems, by spending more and going more into debt? Would you think he was insane? You would be the one suffering from insanity for not firing the manager after the first year of losing your money. Why would anyone allow a manager to continue with a growing record of consistent failure and loss?
If you do not see the parallel yet, let me spell it out. I am talking about manager Obama. According to Fact Check of the Annenberg Policy Center, manager Bush didn’t do so well himself. In his eight years, the federal deficit grew by 4.9 trillion dollars, which was outrageous and almost 4 times as much when compared individually with Reagan, GHW Bush or Clinton. Make no mistake about it; government grew massively under manager Bush. HOWEVER, look at how we have fared after 3 years and 3 months under manager Obama. In less than half the time it took manager Bush to expand the deficit by 4.9 trillion dollars, manager Obama has managed to add another 4.7 trillion in just over three years, bringing the total deficit to over 15 trillion dollars now and will grow beyond 16 trillion by the end of the year. Keep in mind, Obama has done this in less than four years. Marx and Lenin would be proud.
So are we better off now? The average price for a gallon of gas in January 2009, when Obama took over, was $1.79 a gallon. Ground beef is up, bacon is up, bread is up, and everything is up except the bottom line in your checking account. According to Word Hippo, the opposite of “to manage” is “to fail”. To manage is to succeed and to not manage is to fail. This is the year to change managers, fire the one who is failing, along with everyone in Congress who is supporting the current financial insanity.
Are we better off now? He gave us Obamacare (‘nuff said); blocked the keystone pipeline killing 20,000 immediate jobs and 100,000 jobs in five years, ensuring high gas prices and stopped coastal oil drilling plan. Also, under Obama, the number of food stamp recipients rose from 31.6 million people in 2008 to 46.4 million in 2012, an increase of 14.8 million people, according to the fns.usda.gov .
ARE THINGS BETTER NOW, Hmmm?

You are exactly right. We are so much better off thanks to Obama. The nation was on the brink of monetary collapse, mired in two wars.
Thank you Barack for saving America. Some folks just can't think for themselves.

Here's a good follow-up to the OP's article.

"Obama and His Serfs Wish to Keep America Impotent Until Socialism Rules."
"The Washington Times published an Editorial on April 20, 2012 titled,“Where’s the recovery?” It mirrored all the bad news on our supposed “getting healthy” economy along with the discouraging views of the economic fundamentals and new jobless claims creating long faces and nervous hair pulling, while smiles abound in our anti-American White House and among its inhabitants.
Believe it or not, all this bad news about the country that less than four years ago was considered the greatest nation in the world, is pleasing to our White House staff and all of its minions, czars and secretaries. Obama’s mission is to totally destroy America as the world has known it for the past two hundred and thirty plus years and see poverty and hardships abound where once the fruits of our forebears’ diligence and INTELLIGENCE (a commodity that is sorely lacking today) created prosperity and leadership for the entire world to follow.
People SHOULD be asking, where the recovery is; it is certainly costing the taxpayers huge sums of money to keep this charlatan in the Oval Office in spending money for his communist, socialist and Islamist buddies in the depths and pestholes of the world. He is determined to put all of us along side those sand-flea-bitten cretins he calls peaceful and enlightened.
The Times editorial announces that new jobless claims are the highest they’ve been since late January, the four-week average stubbornly hovering around the 375,000 mark. They also say that “Though we’re technically in a recovery, nobody believes it. A Rasmussen Reports survey earlier this week shows a majority is under the impression America is still in recession.” And why not? Recoveries see indicators of increased employment, more consumer goods being manufactured and purchased and costs of consumables dropping instead of rising as they are today."

Well Cow Manure, your Nom De Guerre is quite fitting and portrays your total ignorace bathed in the talking points from the 'porkulous' feed lot. It is you sweet cheeks that can't exercise your independence from the glycol swill that you exercise daily in these shallow halls of discourse, no?
#6 May 7, 2012
You must be trying to record a laugh track or something. This is a pathetic attempt to hoodwink.
Thinking voters know better.
#7 May 7, 2012
you want us to believe that when Bush left office he left what was regarded as the greatest country in the world?
SNL heads up, some good material here.
#8 May 7, 2012
"Thinking voters know better."
Only if one has reliable information.
#9 May 7, 2012
Obama's policies rescued us from the Bush Calamity. Things are slowly getting better. The Republican financial plan almost destroyed us.

The howling idiots aren't interested in the facts. They are spammers for the teaparty. Vote Obama !
#11 May 7, 2012
Calling others idiots only shows just how little you know.
You are not making any more difference than tea party or
any other party. Vote anybody your want. No difference.
You know how many iPhones and iPads Apple sold in this first quarter alone? You think Obama has anything to do with it? No matter who is in office, those who do well will continue to do well. Those we
don't, will continue the same. No difference really!
The only difference is what one does for himself.
Apple is a good example. I am not even talking about the millions
Apple sold. I am talking about the millions who could afford
these pretty expensive items in this economy. Hmm...so these are
bad times and we have millions waiting in line to buy these
expensive phones and tablets...if you check Amazon, you will also
see a long waiting list for $3,000 digital cameras...wow, Obama is
doing an amazing job?
One can do well regardless of who is elected in office.
Those that do not do well, will not no matter who is in office.

PEW POLL: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT 'MOSTLY CORRUPT'
The favorable rating of the federal government has sunk to just 33 percent, the lowest positive rating in 15 years, a "new poll from the Pew Research Center reveals.
At the same time, Americans’ opinion about state and local governments remains mostly favorable.
Two years ago, about two-thirds of Americans had a favorable view of all three levels of government — federal, state, and local. But in the new survey, nearly two-thirds have an unfavorable opinion of Washington.
Among Republicans, just 20 percent have a favorable view of the federal government, while 51 percent of Democrats and 27 percent of independents agree with that assessment.
In contrast, 52 percent of respondents said they still have a favorable view of state government, and 61 percent feel that way about their local government.
“The gap between favorable ratings of the federal government and state and local governments is wider than ever,” Pew observes.
While 49 percent believe their state government is mostly honest and 37 percent say it is mostly corrupt, a majority of those polled said the federal government is mostly corrupt.
Similarly, 38 percent of Americans think their state government is “generally efficient,” but just 24 percent say that about the federal government.
And while 33 percent say state government is “careful with the people’s money,” only 17 percent say that about the government in Washington.
Interestingly, 56 percent of respondents who live in a state where the governor and a majority in both legislative chambers are Republicans say they have a favorable rating of state government, but in states where the governor and legislature are Democratic that figure drops to 47 percent.
As for the federal government’s rating, 53 percent of Republicans held a favorable view of Washington as recently as April 2008, when George W. Bush was president.
Pew notes:“Since Barack Obama’s first year in office, public assessments of the federal government have dropped nine points, with most of the change among Democrats and independents.”

HERE ARE SOME FOLKS THAT ARE BETTER OFF UNDER OBAMA.....We loves you!

Great choice of Apple to represent corporate greed. They sit on the billions of dollars they make. I understand they have the product.
No excuse for their level of greed. Do they provide jobs for Americans? No they don't. They use cheap abused labor from China. They contribute to the working misery of the working poor in China.
They grab all the American dollars and give nothing back. This is the ROMNEY PLAN. Thank you for exposing this greedy corporation.
#16 May 7, 2012
I have exposed how you only see what you want to see.
"Do they provide jobs for Americans? No they don't."
You bet they do! Good jobs too! The last I checked, it was
over 50,000 jobs in the US and you are saying they don't???
"They contribute to the working misery of the working poor in China."
Working poor?? You have any idea how much their standard of living
have improved over the years? Many of them can buy cars that they
could only dream about before.
The Romney Plan? What plan? Apple has been successful through many
presidents. Like I said, it makes no difference who is in office if
one is good at what he is doing.
"They grab all the American dollars and give nothing back."
Again, you must be kidding. Do you have an iPhone,iPad, or a
MacBook? There are actually a lot of these in Bisbee!!!
You have no idea what Apple has contributed to the life of hundreds of millions of Americans alone, not to mentioned even more all
over the world just by creating these amazing products. All you
can think about is what they give back. Please just worry about
what you give back.
Please take off the negative and false glasses you are wearing!
The way you see things, anyone who is doing well and success
is greedy. Correct?
Bottom line: It makes no difference who is in office. Go ahead
and vote for Obama. I have no problems with it because it really makes no difference. Just don't lie about Apple, another successful person, or corporation.

Translation: They grab all the American dollars and give nothing back to ME.
#18 May 7, 2012
Re-translation: Outsourcing jobs overseas to cheap labor markets is smarter than having it made in America and creating American jobs.

MONETARY COLLAPSE?? What do you think is going on now? Do you ever conduct any research before you spat out crap? Your great president has printed more money than any other president!! What do you think that causes? Your great leader has doubled the debt.. doubled!!
Mired in two wars?? Oh yea.. I remember when your great leader was dead against the surge in Iraq.. he get elected and starts a surge in Afghanistan.. oh yea, he just signed a deal with Afghanistan.. troops will stay past 2014.. yea.. looks like we are still "mired".
Some folks cant think for themselves? You must have been looking at a mirror when you wrote that comment.

"outsourcing" is such an outdated word.
Everything is global now. Speaking of greed,
all of us are greedy. Anyone here deny this?
It is simply human nature, The cause of jobs
going to other parts of the world is simply
global competition. The workers in the USA want
too much for simple work. What would you do if you
had a company and it is so much less expensive
to get it made elsewhere? It is not just China.
They are no longer the low cost leader. The workers
there are getting greedy too.
Don't blame the corporations. They are just doing
what any of us would do. We are all more or less the
