I would like to know why Korean DMZ VETS widows are not entitled to retro accrued compensation like the Nam Vets Widows are entitled to. I relize it has to do with Nehmer Ruling, But the Korean DMZ Vets Widows should fall under same protection. HD from 1985 to his death. He filed a claim in 1997 for compensation and was denied "no boots on ground in Nam, and had to prove illness resulted from Military. Of course that was impossible due to the fact DOD,not releasing the information which is now available. Not only were the Vets exposed but they were used as guinea pigs, testing was done on the DMZ then was shipped to Nam. I call it chemical warfare on our Vets. My husband died in 2008 from diabetes and IHd, he was not able to work since 1997 to his death and not one red penny from the VA. This is also discrimination against DMZ Widows. Case law has been set through Nehmer and presidence is in place. I should also recieve retro accrued from the date he was first denied!!!
