Question, Two way traffic down Stone St. Delivery truck parked in North bound lane. why? so they can halt traffic? If we pass said vehicle will we be breaking any law? I haven't seen any signs stating otherwise. I say let them use the alleys so they dont mess up all our pretty curbs and benches.(LOL) Talked with a few store owners/Employees and haven't heard much good news from them either. way to go city officials
The problem with alley deliveries is that many of the buildings have narrow stairways in back. It would be very hard to haul a load of heavy boxes up a flight of stairs.

Somethings never change. Funding is out there to help poor people in the form of grant awards. Poor people are not educated or looked for when opinions are needed on how to better their lives.

People with the education make the applications and fill in the blanks and use the right numbers. It is those people who make your decisions. Watch for those public meetings I guess and lets educate ourselves. I sure don't know how city laws are made either but I have always wanted to find out.

It is great we have the internet and I see where we can leave opinions if we leave our name and email. But wait, what about those who can't afford a computer or the internet? Oh, I guess they can get to the library if they are physically able.

At least Falls City is making efforts to involve everyone in these new designs and visions for this old town. Get out there, hunt down those that have the know how and tell them that you want to be a part of the process that affects the way you live. Chillin out now.:)

Good idea, For the benefit of. Get involved. Like the new downtown or dislike it, at least they are doing something and not just sitting on their behinds doing nothing. I applaud everyone on all levels who are working to make FC better.

Are the rumors true that they are considering changing the bump outs on the corners? I sure hope so as they are horrible for traffic.

Do what I do run over the damn things. It's impossible to turn right without curbing it if someone is at the stop sign. It's good for a laugh anyway.

I like that they piled the snow on the benches and flower planters. At least they found a use for them. lol.

I think the "bumpouts" look nice,
but they are a hassle, even for my small car.
Just looking at a drawing of those in place should have been enough to NOT to put those in.
And i'm still trying to get used to the 2-way traffic on Stone St.

Even Mini Coopers would have a difficult time.

I don't have any problem driving downtown in my regular sized car. And I like the bump outs and the stop signs as it slows the traffic down a tad bit from before.

I just hope they are smart enough to NOT make anymore bumpouts. Hey maybe there is a reason they call them BUMPouts. They do go bump when you run over them. lol.

Should be easy knowing Falls City cars going down the road-- they'll be the ones with the front-end alignments all out of whack.

I hope they have enough planters and bumpouts to pile the snow on.

Yes I bet it was fun with all the concrete clutter they have to work around. At least they can pile the snow on the benches and planters. lol. Great design in the big city developments where they build the stores and everthing at the same time. Terrible design for a small town where trucks have to use the street. I hope they have learned from this and don't ruin anymore sidewalks and corners. Please do not repeat this mistake in future designs.
